Lee in Pigeon Forge? I wish I could have been there.

And for those that think Universal only have Potter are in for a rude awakening.

2014- Potter 2.0
2015- Jurassic Park
2016- Rumored New KidZone
2017- Rumored Toon Lagoon Replacement that will drink Avatar's milkshake.
2018- Rumored Space related IP coming to the plot beside MiB.
Screamscape was just talking about Toon Lagoon closing today. Still iffy on the JP expansion, but hopefully the rumored space IP is Star Trek. Also,

I've been many times. That area is a fun trip every few years and Dollywood is a nice little park.

The trick is to try not to be overwhelmed by the profusion of odd dinner shows, pancake restaurants, mini-golf/go-kart joints, and the worlds largest over abundance of tacky t-shirt shops.
I think I counted four cracker barrel resteraunts there on our last visit.

Avatar's milkshake WON'T be bringing the boys to the yard? We know fanbois LOVE milk shakes...

Love Dollywood, but I do not like Pigeon Forge at all. The theme park itself is so beautiful though, and has some quality theming/attractions/food.

If you hope across the border to Asheville, NC you can see eclectic mountain life.

Actually the entire region is one of the most beautiful in the U.S. And they really do have a lot of cool things to offer. But the Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area does have a unique charm in a very Larry the Cable Guy sort of way.

Agreed. I OD on tacky very quickly in PF/G'burg.

Also agree about Dollywood, though we were disappointed that they no longer have those giant skillets of sizzling food. Loved that last time...

I will admit that some of those go-kart tracks did look fun... And I can't forget about the giant Titanic. It's just a very ugly strip in general. Beyond tacky.

And I do wish Dollywood would find a way to address the roughness of Mystery Mine. It really hurt the last time I rode it. But I do still think the theming for Mystery Mine is close to Universal/Disney level.

Have you been to the aquarium in G'burg? If so is it worth admission?

Mystery Mine is a top notch attraction. Love it.
But, yeah...it's gotten rough since I last ride it. Should be fixable, though. Probably a car/wheel assembly problem.

I haven't, but I hear good things. Ripley's owns it and about four other attractions in G'burg.

Although I am not Lee, I will say that it is nice and well done, but small. And NOTHING in G'burg/Pigeon Forge is worth the price except for Dollywood. But that is the nature of "The Tourist Trap in the Hills". It is the mountain version of Myrtle Beach.

I figured it was going to be on the small side. I think we are going to get combo tix for it, Titanic and the Stampeed dinner show.

I need to show my kids that not all aquariums out there have Pixar characters in them.
