I hate to say this but at this point I would rather have WDC go out of business and the parks bought up by people who would be willing to operate it the right way. That way the legacy can be safe(and at this point, that is the only thing they have going for them.) No Disney would be preferable to Iger's Disney.

Day 7: it has almost been a week since we've last heard from the all mighty spirit @WDW1974 and there hasn't even been a squeak from him these past 7 days. The thread is quickly falling apart without him as we are learning how meaningless this forum is without him. People are starting to make false statements about the spirit and dare question how much truth he speaks. I do not believe any of this nonsense and hope the Spirit returns soon and give us the Universal news so that we all may rest in peace.-Cody

Honor Hunter posted over on his site, Blue Sky Disney, a tidbit on Star Wars that is in line with some of the Spirit whispering a couple weeks ago... That Star Wars attractions, lands, and theming ideas are bubbling up at WDI right now. Perhaps the DHS makeover will be a bit different than initially reported...

I'm really like to hope some of that is Green lit But I've seen their track record of things that were blue sky in the past 10 to 15 years and then shot down.

The last following on to that, I have a small tidbit from earlier today. I had someone mentioned to me that people were measuring parking spots at DHS. Not sure what to read into it, because parking at Hollywood studios has been a nightmare for God knows how long, but somethings up.

This has already been brought up in different forum discussions. Disney even sent out surveys to customers( I got one myself ) asking all about Star Wars! That's all the survey wa about. Star Wars meet n greets, rides, restaurants, locations you want to visit, and the best was land size. It was a which if I remember correctly asked if I wanted 3 Star Wars lands with 3 rides, or something different.... Can't wait to see what they come up with!

If they take out Indiana show and use the back parade float area, there would be more than enough room to do 3 attractions. Look at google maps near th parade float area. Prime spot for a roller coaster (speeder bikes!!!)

Depends... If it was a survey crew with a transit and spotting scope - could mean something.
If it was a bunch of jokers actually measuring parking spaces - likely nothing significant.

If a parking area were consumed as part of any construction project, the design would not concern itself with the current striping of parking spaces - the decisions are done on a more macro scale than that.

I just hope Florida is in their sights for some love from a Galaxy Far Far Away. It definitely seems the initial focus is on California and China.

While the survey was widely discussed here - a survey can mean absolutely nothing. We've seen survey's regarding Lord of the Rings additions before too... and we have yet to see that materialize in any way whatsoever. This is the first blog post we have seen from a good source that there is actual meat on the bones of these rumors.

This could meaning something depending on who did the measuring.

I am saying that because Genie of the Lamp on April 9th provided a link that has rumors about DHS getting a Parking Garage, Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular leaving and part of the parking lot being used for creating an expanding area for the Star Wars brand. That rumor Genie of the lamp gave link could be connected to the parking spaces being measured.

Here is the link that has Genie of the Lamp providing a link to the rumors I mentioned: http://forums.wdwmagic.com/threads/...ns-ii-nge-baxter.859440/page-191#post-5423122

I also have the link to the site that Genie of the Lamp linked to.

Like I said, I wasnt there. Didnt witness it first hand. Parking has been an abjunct nightmare at DHS for years; squeezing more cars in the existing space seems pretty normal.

General thought here.... Not picking on you in particular. Activity in one part of WDW is not necessarily indicitive of immediate activity elsewhere. No need to jump to conclusions... yet.

All we actually know is that something's up and we dont know what.

WDW projects often remind me of the road projects that happen across America. Lots of activity. Hundreds of workers. Plenty equipment. Work that goes on and on for what feels like an eternity and amounts to nothing more then extending a merge lane....which really does nothing for the still exsistent daily traffic jams.

If Disney announced they were building 3 attractions all at once for any of the WDW parks, I think that my family would find me passed out from shock in my big comfy chair with this little netbook dropped to the floor...
