I thought that that is where KidZone would be getting expanded into? (I'm talking across Expo Backstage Road to Backlot Road beside Men in Black, not across Psycho Backstage Road, as that is to Hard Rock Hotel)

There are no plans to expand KidZone. Reowrk it? Yes. Expand? No. The land you're talking about is used for HHN and fireworks storage, parade storage and maintenance as well as other behind the house things. If it's to be used for expansion, it'd be for World Expo, not KidZone, IMO.

A third park?! Big news there. I'm not holding my breath, though. I don't doubt the addition of a water park. Though if there's going to be more hotels, then a third park does make sense.

I hope Universal absolutely perfects Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios before opening a third park. I'm looking at KidZone, Fear Factor, Harry Potter show building, Toon Lagoon theater, The Lost Continent's lack of attractions, etc. I'm sure they will though, especially since you mentioned how many great and amazing things will be added.

The only problem with "perfecting" a park before you open the third park is that if the park is perfect, then there's no need to do anything there in the future which could mean that the parks get stale.

Of course, if they don't "perfect" the two parks they have before opening the third, then they still may end up doing nothing there, leaving the parks to get stale... just like WDW...

As sad is this comment is, you gotta believe 5-10 years from now this kind of fear on the part of Disney will be dead and buried. Everyday the hysterical hatred from cartoonish conservatives over the existance of LGBT people is looking more and more ridiculous, and any noise they would make would probably fall on deaf ears as it does not directly relate to what WDW is selling as a destination (it's hardly an Atlantis or RSVP cruise), and most probably wouldn't care (see: Baptist boycotts) or ever see the story.

After DLP it will be next for me...maybe.

And all that UNI news sounds good to me. Water Park, 2 more hotels, more rides and a third park? If UNI can convince enough people that it is a week long vacation resort onto itself, WDW is screwed. Most domestic tourists don't have the kind of time and money to do a week at WDW and UNI each.

DVC could really, really backfire. My family is hitting WDW this year because of the cheap DVC PAPs, which exist because many DVCers were starting to spend lots of time and money elsewhwere in central Florida. Could you imagine people checking into WL say and families keep strolling into the lobby with HP wands, Shamu hats, and Duff beer 6 packs.

In perfecting, I pretty much meant fixing some visual aspects in both parks. As awesome and amazing as IOA is, it has some major visual flaws (such as the transition between Toon Lagoon and MSHI, and the Forbidden Journey showbuilding).

Yeah, they should definitely fix those (another one is adding theming to Dragon Challenge)

Finally, I would be remiss if I failed to mention TDL's 30th Anniversary. Unlike 99% of the folks here, I've been lucky enough to go. It is an amazing place, run by people who still adhere to real Disney standards and then take them up a notch. You can't visit the place and ever view WDW the same again after. I hope to be able to return this fall, and that many of you will also be able to go and see what Disney once represented to the world beyond what now lies in Orlando.

I'm also a part of that one percent in this case - and going back this summer (as well as swinging by HK and Euro Disney).

It's not even that they have a extremely superior set of rides over the US counterparts, it all has to do with both parks being properly built up in the first place, well maintained and nothing is inherently "broken". Disney Sea is pretty on-par these days attraction wise with DCA, but doesn't have any areas of the park that were poorly made from the get-go. Also theming wise the entire park is on a Buena Vista Street/Carsland level. That's ultimately what makes DisneySea the jewel in the Disney Parks crown.

@WDW1974 - While I'm on the topic, rumours are essentially non-existent for the overseas theme parks, but do you have any inkling about what is coming on down the pipe overseas? Especially since OLC just announced they will be spending 1.5 billion on both TDR parks by 2020?

PS: Thanks for the awesome update!
