I was wondering if anyone knew the fate of these following figures that don’t seem to be reused in the current ride? If they are still in there somewhere can you tell me where?

-Scaffolding Egyptian
-Greek Theatre Actors
-Gutenberg Typekit/Computer Bedroom Boy
-Right Side Network Comms Desk Lady
-Network Comms Man
-Network Comms/86 Paperless Office Lady
-Keiko (1994 video chat girl)

About halfway down the descent, if you look up and to the left (about a minute after you see the spaceship, give or take), you can see one of the old dioramas from the 94 version that they never removed. This one depicts a row of people with a couple of them wearing graduation caps. It looks almost like a plywood cutout that was painted black. Supposedly many of the dioramas are still there, just hidden in the dark. I saw a few other cool things, like areas in the walls that were set in a few feet where scenes used to be, but this was the only actual diorama that I could spot. This was the first time I didn’t play the build your own future game so I could sit back and look for remnants, and it was WELL worth it. Very cool stuff.
I went on a backstage tour of SSE a few years ago. Our tour guide let us climb a ladder to that area of the descent and actually see all those old figures from that scene sitting there abandoned.

Rode a few hours ago a couple times before closing. First time through I popped my airpods in, turned on noise cancelation, and played the Jeremy Irons version throughout the ride which was a sort of surreal experience. Second time around used my phone flashlight to illuminate the abandoned effects on the descent, it’s pretty eerie being there in the dark, all alone among those abandoned sets. So much lost at the expense of an ipad screen

Just got off of SSE right now! I found a large enough gap between myself and the other riders, so I was able to take these photos on the descent without disturbing anyone’s experience

Have a feeling were going to be stuck with this mess a really long time, and its getting worse through there.
Look up at all the junk over head towards the latter end of the descent, its worse than ever.
But now with the genie plus muck, they don't want to take things off line. So fixes, changes, redos, are going to be far and few between. They found a way to save money and make money at the same time. Show quality comes last if it even counts at all anymore.

Also Michaelangelo is broken and no longer painting, but I guess even he needs a break at this point. :)

The speakers alongside the track on the descent sound like malfunctioning drive thru windows

As far as I understand, the space station is/was directly above you. Window girl was off to your right though, correct? Has anybody ever gotten a photo of window girl’s abandoned window?

She was always behind/above the rider inside the cylinder, you could only see her if you looked behind yourself. I believe she was eye level when you first entered the room. This is what the station cylinder/window looked like before everything was blacked out:

What did you see? Just the graduation caps or more?

I missed the graduation caps, but I got photos of the Space Station among other structural remnants. I would however like some clarification on what I’m looking at here. If I’m being honest I have only skimmed through this thread up until this point, so not entirely sure what everything I had been looking at was aside from what I assume to be the leftover structural remnants from 94’

Took me longer than I should have spent trying to figure out what I was looking at, but I think I got it. This is the lightning effect just before the graduation scene. In this video, it actually stops for about 30 seconds at this part so you can see the effect over and over again at 12:45.

Here is a quick overlay to show effect.

That area was originally full of pink gobo projection lights in the original 80’s versions.
