I guess I'm just a nostalgic 80s kid... the thing about EPCOT music was that it wasn't just music for music's sake, it was music that neatly summed up the mission statement of an attraction and often served as the call to action. Tomorrow's Child, Listen to the Land, New Horizons, Universe of Energy, Imagination... if you listen to those songs, you clearly understand the reason each of those accompanying attractions was built and for a park built without any IPs, that was really important. I love keeping SSE IP less, but I also like the idea of a song at the end that wraps up the mission of the ride neatly... be that Tomorrow's Child or something new...
Oh, I wholy agree with you about the original songs for all the Epcot OG rides! I just think I can take or leave Tomorrow's Child specifically. But my mother loves it so I want it back for her sake.

So, Horizons style...you get to select the song for the descent. Just select Tomorrow's Child for your speakers.

We don’t get a refurbishment, so instead they’re going to find every broken or abandoned effect and try to fix it
I mean they did turn the domes back on in the Seas too. I'd rather get stuff like this then nothing at all. Of course I want a full refurb but it's obvious the parks don't care enough to fund one now.

A full SSE refurb is in development and will be the next thing EPCOT gets after Test Track. In the meantime it's getting love from the local maintenance team, like Seas and The Land have also been getting.

Any details … ?
Expect it to be similar in scope to the 2019 refurb in that the whole thing will be getting love (minus the Earth Station rebuild obviously, the lounge and new landscaping kind of preclude that). It won't be the cheap "new narrator and a proper descent" quick fix that many here have spent the last few years speculating about. Not really at liberty to say much more, only that work is being done.
