How does Everest work exactly? I'm assuming it has anti-rollback mechanisms but not sure how it would exactly work.
I`m a bit loose on the specifics, but a magnetic field is generated by the motion of the car going up the hill (by a metal or magnetic strip attached to the hill but under the car) - the rollback bar is held up by this field so it dosn`t clunk on the teeth. The car stops, the magnetic force is lost and the bar drops into place on the teeth, stopping the car from rolling back. Simple physics.

Or something like that.

^That. Basically the way it was described to me.

Has anyone thought there used to be seating areas around the bathrooms. Maybe there will be some benches built in to the two concrete forms that are being built. Anyone else think this is a possibility?

Well, not really. If they already have the concrete seating under the TTA, why install additional benching?

The chain isn't the problem.
The problem is the anti-rollback mechanisms that keep the trains from...well...rolling back if the train comes loose from the chain.
That's where the clankety-clank noises come from.

But the problem with SM vs. other outdoor coasters is that it's like an echo chamber and the noise is much louder....if they could at least add some sound deadening to the walls around it might help I think.

Still, that should have been a priority to make a less noisy lift.

Laughing Place has a report that says Mr. Tom Morrow is back in the spiel. Don't know if it's the monotone voice, or if it's the new voice. More as it comes!

The way people talked about it, you would have thought it was.

Probably monotone if I had to guess. I doubt they recorded it with the new guy, or it woulda been in there from the start, but that's just a guess.
Hmm....That'd be kinda weird, if that was the only instance. Perhaps they should edit him in some more. :D

With the chime, of course.
