I`m a bit loose on the specifics, but a magnetic field is generated by the motion of the car going up the hill (by a metal or magnetic strip attached to the hill but under the car) - the rollback bar is held up by this field so it dosn`t clunk on the teeth. The car stops, the magnetic force is lost and the bar drops into place on the teeth, stopping the car from rolling back. Simple physics. How does Everest work exactly? I'm assuming it has anti-rollback mechanisms but not sure how it would exactly work.
Or something like that.
