:shrug:And then when is refurb Part II? Or will they give it the SSE treatment?

I'm really looking forward to this rip, ride and rock it -- er, I mean, rip-roaring rocket ride.
This goes without saying , I guess, but before the rehab started I was told first hand that there station was getting new fangled air gates... hopefully they'll put a little imagination into them, and they won't just be stainless airgates.. if I wanted generic looking parts on that stuff I'd go to universal
would be cool if they had 'doors' to the cars like star tours, like 'your space shuttle has arrived' type thing.. might make harness check and dispatch a pain though
In WDW, how many other attractions do you watch a movie??? In your local Six Flags and carnivals, I am sure many can be named that are like MS without a bad movie being played... MS really is not that good of an attraction..
Right...I was about to ask, do they even need the doors?
imagine this.. the entire queue station enclosed... the only thing you can set besides 'queue' is the occasional TTA Traveler gliding by.. Seeing the TTA go by adds to the sense that this is a 'Space Port', not just some sterile space shuttle launch facility... basically a 'space airport'.... Same lines as star tours, I guess.....
As the coaster trains arrive, the airgates (themed to 'airlocks')open, dispensing a quick burst of 'steam', with a rush of air.. a recorded voice tells you it's time to board your shuttle to depart.. you get in, strap up (harness down) and and the flight crew comes by to do a quick 'pre flight check' (harness check).... after which, the doors close, with a slight 'squeal' and 'vacuum' sound to signify the 'sealing' of the airlocks, and the show starts....
sounds like a lot for a coaster station, but if done right, it would be seamless and could all happen in seconds....

I'm surprised this thread hasn't been locked due to the annoying waving. This thread is about the Space Mountain refurb NOT a platform for a 15 year old and her pal trying to up their post total.
Don't I get any credit for proving a point. Once again I fall on the sword and just get stepped over. Oh well, poor little me.
Anyway, thanks Sir Goofy for the double face palm. Still laughing. Funniest thread since the infamous wand fell.
At least for me.
Wish we had some fresh SM pics :lookaroun
PS- I'm limiting myself to one smiley per post......unless I don't. :zipit:
I believe (someone correct me if I'm wrong) that the description on the WDW page has been there for months now. At least since January or so.
Old news which reveals nothing new.
So far, I stand by the last information I got...which was no on-board audio when the ride reopens in November.
Screamscape is reporting that Disney's website now confirms onboard audio.

Please keep your "wavin" to the thread that you started for it. I personally don't get it and find it pretty annoying but in its own thread it isn't hurting anyone- so just keep it there please.
Every single one of you has a bit of moderating power- it's the report to moderator function. The first reported post we got from this thread was early this morning. We can't see everything.

I rarely post on here but this whole waving thing is very annoying and childish.
Take this mindless cr*p and go into the chit chat section. It is crazy that you have only been here since March and you are almost to 1,000 posts. Here is a thought think before you post. Does your post actually relate to anything in the topic?
Have a magical day...
Look I did a whole post without using any smilies! It can be done!
