I agree.
Didn't it used to be slightly darker. I have never seen it like this shade.
I agree.
Yep! Would work nice with TL, too...Keep the baby blue! With white it looks so retro
Very interesting...Thanks!
The small building is formerly known as the SWEC plant a plasma gas trash incinerator now used to compact and transfer trash for off property disposal. It's located between the RCES power plant and the Employee Parking Lot.
The Apartments on Reams Rd are open to anyone as far as I know. A fair amount of employees must live there since there is a paved sidewalk to the Employee Parking Lot. Talk about isolated, there isn't a convenience store for miles but there is a darn good fireworks show every night.

It is open to anyone. I should know, I live there (here?). And it isn't that isolated as long as you know the area. There is a Publix not too far away, a few miles past that Publix is a Super Target, Best Buy, Loews, Barns and Noble, etc. with lots of places to eat. And they are building a Walgreens on CR535. But if they were to build a shopping center closer, there is a huge undeveloped space a little north of here on Reams. Best thing about living here and knowing the area, no tourists (no offense...)!!!
It`s actually blocked by the ugly metal extention of the main building next to the railroad (you can`t see it from Tland anymore thanks o the arcade - look from the TTA in August or from the railroad)Niiiice!
Wish the blue was more visible from TL...:lookaroun

The extention incidentally holds some of the pre/postshow and also the turnaround at the ends of the blue star tunnels - yep, the hard turns infront of the mirrored walls are physically outside of the main mountain.
I HATE the light blue. Hate it.
If they asked me, which they won't (but should...) I would propose a darker shade of metallic blue. Perhaps the kind of paint that changes shade depending on your angle and the light. That, some silver, and a lighting package would help pull SM into the rest of New Tomorrowland....such as it is...
hold on... I thought they were talking about the building on the right of that image way off in the background.... sooo, i guess we arent. Ok, i guess i need to crank up the Live Search satelite images. It`s actually blocked by the ugly metal extention of the main building next to the railroad (you can`t see it from Tland anymore thanks o the arcade - look from the TTA in August or from the railroad)

I agree with you on the silver. I never really got how they refurbed the rest of TL to look "Retro" and left SM in the "70's sleek" future.
Don't forget about the bare minimal jobs they did on Cosmic Ray's exterior, or the Plaza Pavilion/Noodle Station, TL speedway, skyway station, COP's exterior and (while not architecturally related) the old pavement covering 60% of TL.
It sure would be nice if TL could be cohesive architecturally and thematically (monsters, stitch).
Sometimes the best answer is the easiest. Name Tomorrowland "SciFiCity" and let Eddie Sotto design a cohesive overlay for the entire land. Problem solved. Even monsters would fit then.
The problem is that way too many guests would come to the park and say "What happened to Tomorrowland?" It could work in Tokyo where they've grown up differently with Disney, it would never work in one of the state-side parks.
That's what I say when I go to Tomorrowland now.
Yep, You got itOk. Martin, Is this representation accurate and the highlighted blue extension the one you are referring too. Sorry, I just like the visual representation so there is no miscommunication.

Right. It's a shame that they didn't keep most of the theme when updating. However, I love that out TLand is unique like that.Don't forget about the bare minimal jobs they did on Cosmic Ray's exterior, or the Plaza Pavilion/Noodle Station, TL speedway, skyway station, COP's exterior and (while not architecturally related) the old pavement covering 60% of TL.

^ Tokyo would have had the best future themed land if it weren't for budget cuts.
