Trip Report Solo: A Disneyland Story - My first trip by myself!

Alright, I won't get too into it, but there's been a lot of rough stuff in my life the last several years. Depression, anxiety, family member deaths, family members battling (and surviving) cancer, issues with school. A bunch of stuff.

But, I'm graduating soon. I have, with plenty of therapy and counseling, gotten too a very liveable and manageable point with my mental health. Family member health is stable and safe.

Life was dark for a while, but I've made it out the other end and things are looking bright.

After saving up for about a year, I've finally got to the point where I can take my dream solo trip to Disneyland! My first time since 2005 when I was nine years old.

It's gonna be a real budget trip, but I'm so excited! I made it work and I can do it!

I'm in the airport now ready to fly across the country!

Today is a travel day, then I have four park days, then a travel day to take me back home!

Next time I see the sun, I'm be in the air!

Do some light research and rope drop whichever park isn't doing early morning hours. If it's Disneyland, hit up Pan followed by Toad followed by Alice. If it's DCA, head straight for Breakout.
Pan, Alice, and toad was my plan lol. And I figured as extra magic hour crowds was the smart move here like it is at WDW.

So, Mickey's Mix Magic, even on fireworks nights, is not a fireworks show. There was, as far as I can tell from outside and behind the park, only pyro during one song. The rest was just projections and lights and lasers.

I'll be able to say sometime this week if it's a solid enough projection show, but as a fireworks show it is disappointingly lacking in big boomy stuff.

You beat me there! I had a slight mishap with setting my alarm wrong, but I'm walking over now!
Let’s meet inside the park, hopefully somewhere by the castle before rope drop. You can’t miss me: blue jeans and grey T-shirt and jacket. Very festive. :joyfull:

I have a weird non-expiring 1980s free park pass, so it’ll take them a while to process it and let me in. (I’ve used these before, it works but it’s awkward.)

Lol assuming I don't have any issue getting through the turnstyles I should be there by 9. I got brown pants, SpongeBob shirt, fake leather jacket, and probably nasty bed Head because I basically rolled out of bed and got going lol

At rope drop I’m rushing for Peter Pan with or without you. Every man for himself!

I’m left of Partners now. Otherwise I’ll see you near Toad or something.
