"Chick-o-loccoli"
Chicken marinated in lemon juice then baked with the marinade in a dish with broccoli. The chicken is brushed with olive oil then fresh herbs, greek spices and bread crumbs are sprinkled over all, served over rice.

AKA Chicken Oregenato. A Greek favorite. Try some white wine some time, it adds some nice flavor. I use quarters. How about you?

Me too! But having 4 kids (one with quite a few food allergies) makes it hard to be creative very often.

I'm dying for scallops :lookaroun YES IT'S 7:20 IN THE MORNING!

I may have to go out somewhere and get some tonight :)

I lOVE scallops! We went to the Olive Garden last night and I got the Seafood Alfredo ( http://www.olivegarden.com/menus/details/menu_item.asp?menu_item_id=5146&secname=dinner ). It's got scallops and shirmp in it. It's sooo good!

I have no idea what I'm making tonight.

Happy Birthday DormaNesbit, hope you have a good evening:wave:

Tonight I have family coming so we've got lamb with a mint and balsamic marinade, roast potatoes and veg. For dessert a strawberry & cream meringue roulade and an orange and lemon pudding I've just found in one of my recipe books....oh and lots of wine, beer and Pimms!!

Pot Roast, Maui scalloped potatoes (recipe courtesy of the recipe thread) and some sort of veggie. And for dessert, homemade peach cobbler.

 I think I lack the patience it takes to get it right, maybe

I LOVE to bake (way more than I like to cook) but turning out decent bread is not my forte. I can make an ok plain ol' white bread (that is LOVELY with butter and homemade strawberry jam :slurp: ) but that really wonderful bread you get in the bakery that's all crusty on the outside and soft inside... ain't happening

For that "crusty on the outside" just spray some water into the oven (to produce steam) during the first few minutes of baking.
