So what changes will we see at DHS GE based on DL GE?

There is absolutely wow factor in “Blue Milk” - it’s one of those small and random details that captured audience attention in the original film. It’s part of Star Wars’ place in pop culture.

There’s nothing wrong with the name. It just seems like Disney’s version of it is mediocre.

Let’s look at the names, shall we?
Butterbeer
LeFou’s Brew
Blue Milk

I think I can see the problem.

If this were Star Trek land you can bet Romulan Ale would be offered. Or even “It’s Green.”

There's a whole other side to this milk/non-dairy milk discussion. Non Dairy can be stored at room temps. Much easier logistical handling of the bulk product. Then they dump it into the machine that cools it down for serving. Now they get to handle the milks with out refrigeration until the last minute. Real milk will require refrigeration at a;; steps of handling. That $8 per glass gets much less profit with real milk.
Ok, but disney handles million things that need to be refrigerated and specifically to the same places that serve this drinks. It's not like they are buying a sub zero fridge just to hold their milk. They have huge walk ins.

With all the time they had to prep, it's too bad that the Blue Milk isn't a smash hit. I don't know what
I would have done, and of course haven't tried this, who knows I might love it.

But HP Butterbeer haunts my high calorie dreams two years after I had oh, about 12 of them over three days, lol.
Blue Milk should have the same effect.

Hard to change it now that it's debuted, though, I'd think. I'd imagine they will let it play out for a while,
if it's a complete fiscal disappointment then perhaps they'd consider a change.

Not sure what I'd make it if I had my druthers. Creamy Blue Raspberry? Blue Bubble Gum flavor?
Butterbeer has that smooth butterscotch/vanilla flavor that brings on the craves.

Well, anyway. Looking forward to my first Blue Milk, whenever that time comes.
I think blue milk should taste like melted blue moon ice cream. And they should offer it with a Correlian Brandy floater.

I know there were still recently concerns about sight lines in Orlando. Specifically Slinky.

I was still under the impression there will be things... in the Sky too.
What ever happened to talk that there might be things . . . in the sky . . . over Pandora too? It's be pretty cool to see a couple Banshees gliding "high up" along the tops of the Floating Mountains.

If flying things are coming for WDW, and I hope they are, is there any reason we haven't seen or won't see them at DL?

I feel like they should taste kind of like a naked juice with a blueberry flavor.
That's not a bad idea. I like the texture of the Naked brand drinks and they are usually not too sweet. I mean, no one knows what Bantha milk actually tastes like, so they could make it taste like anything. It could be anything from toasted almond and vanilla flavored to pralines and cream, or even fruity as long as it was appealing. It just needs to taste good and the texture needs to feel right in the mouth (and be the right color of course) for people to want to buy it. Based on the reviews, I hope they go back to the drawing board before bringing it to Florida.

I didn’t hear that they weren’t. But of course I don’t hear anywhere near everything.

Milky Way Wars:

At my supermarket I can buy milk in fifteen different colours and flavours, from chocolate to lemon. Yet another blackberry milk wasn't going to cut it, so I think Disney was on the right track to try something different. There are pretty wild vegan milk flavours and textures out there.

Pasteurised milk can be stored at room temperatures for months.

Blue milk is iconic. Everybody wants to try it.

Lactose-tolerance, the ability to digest baby food beyond todder age, is what separates us superior Central Asian Indo-Europeans nomads from all you sedentary wusses. While you spend your days picking berries and searching for nuts like squirrels, we roam the plains freely on the beasts we tamed, devouring anything they produce.

People seem to be staying away from Disneyland in droves since the opening of GE. On our wait-time based scale of 1 to 10, DLR has been a '1' every day, and DCA has averaged 1.5.

I suspect this is because of the reservation system - locals who know they can't get in to GE, are staying home.

There's some evidence that Disney is scrambling to address this. PR started reaching out to travel writers last week, pitching article ideas for things like the new brunch at Lamplight Lounge. And we've already seen relaxation of the guest reservation rules for GE.

All of this makes me think it's less likely that WDW will see a pre-opening reservation system. A virtual queue may be more likely.

I’m admittedly out of the know on these things as a non-resident, but I thought we were in a SoCal AP blackout window. Is that shifting things at all, @lentesta? APs are mystical things I don’t quite get (cause I can’t afford multiple trips a year).

I don't see it being a fiscal disappointment, I see it being a PR disappointment. So far there is a lot of people saying they really like it. But most of the reviews I see there is a lot of hesitation in their review. It seems they don't hate it, but they say they really like it because they don't want to be negative about Disney. It will be interesting to see once more general non influencers get in and start reviewing it.
Key is if people go back and get seconds on their next visit. That’s the sign if it’s great or not.

It might be, yes. Good point.

I heard CM blackouts were lifted last week. We may see an early rollback of local AP blackouts too.

This is a bummer. I'd rather just know in advance I have a set time to enter and exit the land.

I can't imagine the virtual queue land cap would be as small as the DL reservation groups. There would be far too many people with too little to do in DHS.

I'm glad everybody on the west coast is enjoying the low volume reservation groups. Here's hoping Batuu East won't be a madhouse.

Attendance is down at Disneyland Resort. Both California Adventure and Disneyland. Also the number of people not showing up for Galaxy Edge reservation times is high to. Guest Relations Cast Members have started to use reservations into the land for Guest Recovery. Merchandise isn’t moving as they would like either. I don’t see them being as strict at Hollywood studios on entry unless something changes soon at Disneyland.

I’m guessing merchandise sales are down on what they hoped because people are spending their time riding the MF and queueing to get into the Cantina, not to mention the light sabre and droid queues. So the time limit has back-fired on them.

The time limit does play a factor into sales while in the land. However there is special Galaxy’s Edge merchandise available throughout Disneyland resort and it’s not moving as they would have hoped.
