So are we to assume that nothing new is coming to AK or Epcot until atleast 2014?

I'd really like to see the night time parade at AK so the park could stay open later and the Monsters Inc coaster at DHS. Those two things would push me over the edge into sheer insanity and joy! :hammer:

This is the thought that keeps coming into my head. It is nice to see them put the effort into the circus theming by juicing up Dumbo. Makes Fantasyland much more like the Original DL Fantasyland with the Pirate Ship and Skull Rock, but I do not know if Dumbo is the right answer.

I do feel that the use of funds to Dumbo Circus out Fantasyland would be used for effectively at Imagination.

MK is already the most visited park in the world. Why not give another park the tools to challenge those numbers. Epcot can hold a heck of a lot of people and adding another attraction that can hold a steady 30 to 60 minute line would be a huge step in the right direction.

Like Steve said, October is always the traditional point to make announcemnets, but I will admit that I feel resources could be used better than highlighting Dumbo Circus. Besides, that show is over 25 years old anyways.

Hmm. I wonder if the budgets work like that...

If they do, JII should have happened. FL has a ton as it is.
MI than JII. :lookaroun
Both are kinda equal in my mind. JII 4.0 could be HUGE.;)

I don't know if AK can stay open later than it already is because of the animals and whatnot. However, the Monsters Inc. Coaster would have caused me to burst into tears of joy!

It can stay open longer if they extend the offerings that don't rely on live animals.

Sadly, it seems as if JII is going to have to wait. I am pretty sure Kodak still needs to agree with a JII refurb. It could be possible that some extra stuff might be announced later on in the expo (or year) but I still don't see JII happening for quite a while.

Real shame though.....
it would only have to take a year to really get it back to good condition.

Yeah, but the newly-expanded dumbo mini-land isn't based on the show at all. In fact, it's based on the movie.

Epcot will get it's chance. I will get new rides later and it has had new rides added in the last 20 years. The most visited park in the world however, has not.

So, let Fantasyland have it's moment. It's long over-due.

There seems to be confusion here. Let me clear it up:

The new Dumbo area is loosely based off of "Dumbo's Circus" which was a land that was part of Tony Baxter's Discovery Bay project in the late 1970s. Although like the Little Mermaid attraction, it will take inspiration and elements from Baxter's original proposals but it will be its own thing.

The "Dumbo's Circus" show that keeps getting brougt up here is NOT RELATED to the new Dumbo miniland nor to the original Dumbo's Circus planned for Disneyland. All three (the 09 concept, the 70s concept, and the tv show) are independent but all based on the original Dumbo film.

I am going to miss Mickey and Minnie's houses. I wish there were a way to keep those.

Hopefully, they'll someday build a new Toontown similar to the one at DL on the opposite side of the train tracks across from the walkway between the current Toontown Fair and Space Mountain.

Thanks! Did you like the expo?

Imagination is probably high on the shortlist of future projects if not at the top. Tony Baxter himself said he's rather displeased by the current version and how Disney is using Figment.

Of course, that's partly my Blue Lantern Ring talking there...

For those who don't want to read through the entire thing, this is the quote:

"Almost as disappointed as Tony Baxter is with the current iteration of the Imagination ride at EPCOT; I asked him if it was on anyone’s radar at WDI and he replied cryptically that he didn’t think the pavilion was living up to its potential and that Figment wasn’t being used be Disney as well as he could be. So, at least they’re not satisfied with the status quo."

I'm really interested in how he is disappointed with the current state of JII, let's hope it seems a major refurb soon.

I would be thrilled if he came back to JII and EPCOT...:D:eek::sohappy:

Man, the hints and winks are flying around here with respect to JII . . . .

need a hint and a wink on a timeline before we'll know something.

Hint if it's before the end of the year.
Wink if it's within the next twelve months.:animwink:
Wave if you have no idea.:sohappy:
Do this if you think nothing's happening.:hurl:
