So are we to assume that nothing new is coming to AK or Epcot until atleast 2014?

Star Wars? I think Star Wars appeals way more to adults than HP.

Someone that agrees! I can't see how anyone thinks HP is bigger than Star Wars overall. In 2009, sure HP wins. In the long run however... That was the point I was trying to make. I knew I couldn't win with my argument anyways. Some people are just focused on praising HP i guess.
HP was intended for adults, originally, though. Honestly, the actual books still do. It's a very rich writing style JKR has. :D

Star Wars attracted teens and adults. Many adults don't get into HP.

The last few movies have been PG13, so aside from that you're absolutely right.

In reality, the franchise of an attraction is only important in as much as if it can create a heavily themed environment. What the company, (in this case Universal) does with theming that environment is what's going to make the attraction. Star Tours and Indiana Jones' Epic Stunt Spectacular are stale attractions, it has nothing to do with the franchises they are linked with, but the technology and wow factor held in each attraction.

Indiana Jones' Temple of the Forbidden Eye at Disneyland is an attraction that has held up a bit more than Epic Stunt Spectacular, if the franchise of which the attraction was based was that significant than the two would be on equal footing. However since 1995 Disney World fans have been clamoring for a version of Temple of the Forbidden Eye.

It just boils down to how good of a job Universal does with Harry Potter. If they do a bad job, it won't matter that they have the franchise.

Definitely agree.
