So are we to assume that nothing new is coming to AK or Epcot until atleast 2014?

HOOPLA!

(How the heck did I miss that the first time?:lookaroun)

My entire thought process:

Hoopla... H-o-o-p-l-a..... H- & p- added = HP

HP = Harry Potter ....

Hoopla is random and vague.... but a wizarding world is exact and to the point.....

* AHA *

You must be talking about Mysterious Island!

Monsters Coaster
Mysterious Island
Imagination
Bullet Train
Adventureland Expansion
UoE overhaul?
Muppet Movie Ride?
Backlot Tour Replacement?
Tiki Room change?

I got nothing after that.

Add Tomorrowland's BLT Aesthetics, CoP Refurb, Skydance....

Just remembered a few things.

Thanks for the list. Refreshed my memory. I would love to see some JII work next, along with some work done in ALand. (and of course DAK)

Can't we have it all

Perhaps there may be other sprucing up on details, a little refurbishing here and there, but I feel they are just perfect already.

Sure, I would love to see JII 4.0 or a new ride for DAK, but I feel that MK needs the most work for now.

(Especially since their 40th is coming up more rapidly.... I hope they celebrate something then. :lookaroun)

This is the thought that keeps coming into my head. It is nice to see them put the effort into the circus theming by juicing up Dumbo. Makes Fantasyland much more like the Original DL Fantasyland with the Pirate Ship and Skull Rock, but I do not know if Dumbo is the right answer.

I do feel that the use of funds to Dumbo Circus out Fantasyland would be used for effectively at Imagination.

MK is already the most visited park in the world. Why not give another park the tools to challenge those numbers. Epcot can hold a heck of a lot of people and adding another attraction that can hold a steady 30 to 60 minute line would be a huge step in the right direction.

Like Steve said, October is always the traditional point to make announcemnets, but I will admit that I feel resources could be used better than highlighting Dumbo Circus. Besides, that show is over 25 years old anyways.

Um. Yes they are. They are just ALSO about showmanship and theming.

See everything, this is why we have Steve! Always the voice of reason and optimism. :sohappy:

It's sort of irrational to think that WDW is going to limit itself to only the FL project and Star Tours 2, just because that's all Jay talked about at D23.

While AK may be stagnant for a while (until attendance again justifies the need for more), and this is probably all that will happen at MK through 2013 - we can't say that DHS and EC will be ignored.

We can see that Epcot is gradually getting a minor facelift - with the Innoventions re-skinning and possible removal of the Y2K canopies. So, at least they're showing that they care. WoL Pavilion is still sitting there, and I'm sure there are plenty of Blue Sky ideas for it that we don't know about.

DHS got TSMM, and is about to get an updated SW2, but there is so much potential elsewhere (updated or replaced backlot tour, Muppet stuff, additions/refurbs in Pixar Place, and now Marvel crap).

Like Steve said, D23 was just a conveniently timed venue through which to announce what we all already knew (because of leaks). Epcot and DHS have birthdays coming up, and October is always a good time to release news.

I'm optimistic that the other parks will continue to see some tender loving care - even if it doesn't mean an E-Ticket at each one. The fact that they're cleaning up makes me happy.

I agree, it is nice to see the parks with the small updates such as the new railings around the fountain and changing of the floor and the colour scheme.

That won't get mentioned until today anyway for the Pixar Imagineering is supposed to be on now.
Hopefully we'll get to see something for DLP, I don't think they'll mention WDW in this but I'm not very good at guessing at all. :)

Sounds like Islands of Adventure to me.

I was thinking more along the lines of Egypt/Amazon adventures/loch Ness. A place where guests can become archaeologists. It would be similar to Adventurer's Club as far as look and feel. Also, an Indy ride could appear in the newer section.
