I read on another source that on the 26th of June a total ban of Selfie sticks will be implemented. Might be hearsay but welcome if its true.
There's no way they can enforce that. NONE.
Automatic ejection from the parks would work
It is simple thay check bags at all the parks all they have to do is take the selfie sticks at the bag check and if someone does gt through with one whn a cast member sees them using it they present a simple choice throw it away or be escorted from the park. There's no way they can enforce that. NONE.
No, but the rule may at least reduce the frequency. Someone intent on breaking the rule will do so, but some percentage will respectfully follow it.There's no way they can enforce that. NONE.
You can ban selfie sticks the way you can ban smoking. It's super easy to enforce it. You just need to want to do it.
I don't think Disney will though, its audience seems to have an immense fixation on taking pictures. I'd be happy if they would at last enforce their no flash on indoor rides rule.

This is exactly what is going to be enforced. Except for the throwing away part, that's not very Disney like. Haha. They will be checked at guest relations before throwing them away or if a guest arrived by bus and doesn't have a car to take it to. Sources have said training is starting tomorrow for this new policy. It is simple thay check bags at all the parks all they have to do is take the selfie sticks at the bag check and if someone does gt through with one whn a cast member sees them using it they present a simple choice throw it away or be escorted from the park.

Exactly. Some people actually do respect rules when they are made known. No, but the rule may at least reduce the frequency. Someone intent on breaking the rule will do so, but some percentage will respectfully follow it.
Just out of curiosity does this also include Mini hand-held tripods? I've been trying to find anything about that...Mine looks like to this...
Those and full sized tripods are still on the safe list
