Secret Haunted Mansion portrait

I agree with tizzo, I hate it when people take flash photos on the rides, it ruins the experience for the rest of us. Of course I have seen much worse happen on the rides, but it is still rude. Just my opinion.

Well - at least he got a good picture out of it.

I was watching Wishes one night, and was standing right next to a woman who took flash photos - of the fireworks - every few seconds throughout the entire show.

I would have liked to have been around to see her face when she saw the photos.

Agreed! As she opens up her photos...I would just like to say.."Here is your sign"!

And as a guest...

I find the flash photos to be quite rude and obtrusive....but also a necessary evil. How else would we get the really good photos from inside rides like Mansion?:drevil:

Some things are not meant to be photographed.;)

:eek::cool: :rolleyes: Brazilian Tour groups.

As annoying as they can be, once they're on the ride they tend to follow the rules.

Exactly. It's never really bugged me, either. You can never see anything.

Seriously? Ride Mansion or Pirates with the guy or gal who has to take pictures of EVERYTHING and tell me it doesn't ruin the experience.

I've done it. The first time it catches you a bit, the next, who cares?

And some things just have to be.:drevil:
It's like magic tricks. Some of us just have to know how it's done.
Like bats....how do bats fly?

They aren't remotely necessary, because no one has a need to photos inside dark rides. I'm disappointed in you, Lee.

Yes. They are necessary for me because I like them. I gotta have them.
Disappointed in me? Because I like to peek behind the curtain? Sorry 'bout that.:D

Yep. HM is now ruined for me. Thanks.
Yeah. No point in riding now, huh?
Honestly...that was the least revealing photo of that sort I had to post.

Yea, as a CM I agree.

There's nothing ruder than a flash picture during a ride that strictly says no flash photography.

I agree...nothing ruder. You can see a great deal using the night vision setting if you absolutely must. But I'm suprised that some of you avid park fans who rant on about other guests think it's no big deal to take flash pictures on rides that say no flash pictures.

i noticed on Pirates out at DL the CMs would actually come on over the loud speaker to get the guests to stop taking flash pictures (after 3 callouts they finally did stop)...Not that the loud speaker wasn't annoying too...

I often did that while working at SSE if I saw people had their cameras out through the one video monitor we had. As annoying as that might be, I'd rather try and save the rest of the ride for guests than let someone take pictures the entire way through.

A hypocrite is someone who would very much like to see the photos of how things work, but then complains when someone breaks the rules to get the photos, even while looking at them.

Judging on the popularity of the threads devoted to showing unauthorized photos of such things as the draining of the 20K lagoon, and the interior of Expedition Everest, I'd say there are plenty of people who enjoy such photos. Oh, don't forget the photos of the redhead from pirates, without her clothes, during the rehab. Those photos didn't stay up for long - just long enough, really. ;)

There might even be a few hypocrites around here. :lookaroun

I believe that the portraits of the Sinister 11 that we see now are actually copies of the originals before the refurb. These ones we see now, the eyes don't follow you the way the old ones used to. The old ones from the hallway are on display the Smithsonian for a few months and then are on the way to the Archives in Burbank, CA. I got to talking to the beloved CM known as Ginger when I took the Haunted Mansion Tour 2 days ago...

Nice find to the OP, I saw this one on the tour as I remember seeing it pre-refurb but never saw it again.
