I read somewhere that instead of returning to the club after a library show that guests will be directed to an exit which leads outside the club. This would do well to ensure that everyone gets a shot of at least seeing one show tonight. So if you're going and want to stay in the club, see a mask room or treasure room show ; )

Well folks, what you see right there are what most people like to call "the crazy people".

I can understand if these people are there to see it for their last time (and were unable to catch it earlier this week), but I have a hunch that these are all the weird people who have been there everyday this week, seen every show, pushing and shoving everybody else to get into the Library. Rather than just enjoy a full day of the show and allow others to experience it one last time, these obsessive-compulsive (and selfish) people will probably stay in the club all night, disallowing anybody else from enjoying it one last time. (then again, they probably smell if they've been sitting in the heat all this time - not sure I'd want to be in the club with them!) :ROFLOL:
Look, we all know the club is closing...there's no getting around it. It will be gone after tonight...but is it really necessary for the name calling and the making fun of people who are there for the last night? Really, what are you looking for by coming into a thread like this and calling people names?

And unless you've been to the club this past week, you don't know what it's like. I have been to the club twice this week. And not because I'm some weirdo. It's because I was on vacation and enjoying a place that I love and didn't get to experience a whole lot of, as I only first experienced the club a year ago. I was there paying my last respects and getting my closure from the club's closure as well.

And I tell you...while there may have been some who really will miss the club and made sure to let everyone know...it really was more of a feeling of comraderie inside. It was an experience I'm glad I have.

And I leave you with this...it most certainly is not only the fans who are upset about the closure of the club. I was there on two of the actor's last night and you could tell that both those people and the other actors were visibly upset during the Hoopla. I was even sitting near one of them in the back and she couldn't hold back the tears, that's how upset she was. And those who were onstage, you could see them breaking character because they were upset. Finally, those who were not portraying roles that night were there in attendance as well. I saw two CM there, supporting their fellows with their presence.

So, you (and I'm not just directing this at you Mark, but all those who make comments like this in this thread) can continue with your rude remarks all you want...but they most certainly aren't necessary. What you are doing is like going to a wake and insulting the person who is in the coffin. Sure, the person's (club is ) gone, but there are still those there who are paying their last respects.

They are no crazier than those of us who get in line and wait for a park to open.
As for being obsessive-compulsive and preventing people from experiencing the AC, what's the difference in o-c fans filling the AC to capacity and o-c fans using up all of the fastpasses or filling a park to capacity?

PS - I'm not a bitter AC fan. In fact, I 've never been to PI or the AC. I just think that posting something like that is a bit rude on a day when so many people are already sad.

Poor Analogy there - for your example to work, the same 60 people who enter a park would have to obtain all the fastpasses for that one ride in the park - which I doubt rarely, if ever, happens!

We all have things we love - but there comes a point it becomes ridiculous - and I think some of us have seen it occur at the AC this week.

Sutter Bestwick made his first ever appearance at the club tonight, Otis won the Balderdash Cup, and the club didn't make enough $$$ from the House of Wong. I'm jealous of all the people there!

Allegedly there's some special announcement in the library at 1am.

All I can say is WOW!!! The 2nd two of those I guessed might have happened but the first thing complete shocker. I am trying to stay up for any bit of news but may have to come back when I wake up since I am getting very tired.

The special guest at the 1AM Hoopla was the return of "The Monkey Butler" Marcel

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get in to the hoopla due to all the pushing and shoving but was able to watch the emotional event on the incredible Jumbo Sheet. It doesn't have 1080p, it has 200 count thread!

You know, I rarely EVER post here. As a matter of fact it took several stabs at even remembering my login and password, but that effort was worth it to say what's on my mind here-

I'm not going to sugar coat anything, and I don't care if this makes me unpopular for speaking my mind against people with a higher post count than myself (because I know in the internet world, that magic number is all that matters more times than not).

MarkC, yeah, I'm directly calling you out on this one. Your post was absolutely pathetic. Insulting, uncalled-for, hateful and caustic. Not to metion it was spoken clearly by someone jealous that they were not able to attend themselves.

I waited in line since 1pm today to get into that club. And no, I have not been there every single night this week. Not that I owe someone with your attitude any explanation at all, but I cut an all-expense-paid trip to southern California several days short to make it back to see this show one last night. Why? Crazy? Abso-freaking-lutely not. I started going to the Adventurers Club in 1999 when I first moved to Florida. I can say in all sincerity that never once have I tried to pretend I was part of the show, spoiled a joke or a storyline, or done anything beyond sit back, do a lot of laughing, a lot of clapping, and show my support and appreciation for the most talented collection of actors in Central Florida. Several of those very talented actors have become personal friends, and after tonight I will miss them dearly.

Not that someone with your attitude deserves any of this explanation, but these people, these good, genuine, excessively talented people, found out they were losing their jobs literally on the same day WE all found out PI was closing. They weren't even given prior notice that an announcment was being made that day. Many of these people - my friends - who have brought myself and countless others so much joy over the years, are now literally without a job. I know several that are without exaggeration applying for unemployment when the office opens on Monday.

So why did we stand in line for hours to get in? To show those people who have given their lives to earn hour respect that we appreciate every d-a-m-n thing they've done for us, given for us and sacrificed for us over the years just to make us laugh.

Tonight was about showing well deserved respect to people we care about. And MarkC, with your attitude, that is a feeling I can truly say I believe YOU will never have the chance to enjoy yourself.

I'm done here. Delete my post, ban me, block me, whatever you see fit. What I said needed to be said. Period.

And if any Permanent Members of the Adventurers Club happen to see this post before embarking on your fabulous year long Monkey Cruise, know that no matter what anyone else says, you are respected, you are appreciated and you are loved. Thank you all for everything you've given us.

Kongaloosh.

Just as amazing as you'd expect it to be, and literally 75 minutes long. It was very sad, but very happy. Like an accomplishment - one that no one necessarily wanted to happen, but was glad it happened the way that it did.

RIP. I wish I could have been there.

Does anyone find it ironic this time last year we were looking forward to a celebration we never thought we`d get? And now this?

Goodbye PI. You were slowly killed off before your time.

I'm posting a couple pictures from the Adventurer's Club last night. Don't worry, these are from my phone, but there were a lot of people with nice cameras, which I'm sure will surface soon.

Cast members told us that fellow-Adventurers had been in line since 8am. When we passed by (around 3pm) and took a picture, I heard a welcoming "Kongaloosh!" (See MadStitch's post with the pics). These Adventurer Warriors had umbrellas, coolers, iPods, and were having a great time. Also, we spoke with a guy who had made his own Adventurer's T-Shirt. It was classic! (If you read this, please post pictures of it, man!!)

We got in line at 6PM. Samantha and the Club President came out to greet those in line, which was great. The area was swarmed with Disney management, who looked a little surprised at all the Hooplah. The French Maid (not Sugar) asked if we were all in line for a movie or something. :) As we were in line, we saw a chair (presumably left by one of the warriors), that said: "Free chair for Adventurers" and "Sit here".

Disney had setup closed-circuit TVs in the queue line and had live feeds from each show for those waiting, which was a great idea (see pic below). Sugar and Samantha came out and stood on the wall to entertain everyone in line, as did Abel and others. Hilarious (see pic below).

Inside, it was packed at capacity. We saw fire department officials monitoring, but Disney had it under control. By the time we got in, the glasses were gone, which was disappointing. Cast members were passing out The Creed, cast photos, and Adventurer's Club Member pins.

The cast was visibly proud/sad to see everyone out to see them last night. I can't imagine how hard that must have been. It was truly an unforgettable night. If you've got pictures/vid, please post!

I didn't wait in line all day, but I respect those who did. It mattered.

Thanks for the memories Adventurer's Club. We sincerely appreciate all that you have done.

I was unable to make it. Even with a plane ticket purchased, my schedule would not permit me going. Had the club closed after November, I would have made it. The sadness I feel I'm sure that most of you feel. I am able to go to the private event on Oct 3, but it feel inappropriate. It feel like I'm digging up a grave. So I won't go. It's not right.

So alas, I wait for last nights event to make it to youtube.

In the end, there's only one appropriate way to say this.

Kungaloosh. Goodbye.

Call me out, thats fine. However, you are very incorrect in all of your assumptions. One, I was there yesterday - however was polite and kind enough to only walk in for half an hour and leave so that others could enjoy. My post was far from pathetic - it was spot on, and clearly hit a nerve with you (meaning there was some truth to it).

I waited in line since 1pm today to get into that club. And no, I have not been there every single night this week. Well if thats the case, then my post was not directed to you (if you care to re-read it again), therefore I fail to see why you are wasting your time getting upset.

Not thaet someone with your attitude deserves any of this explanation, but these people, these good, genuine, excessively talented people, found out they were losing their jobs literally on the same day WE all found out PI was closing. You just lost any shred of respect at this point- none of the actors are applying for unemployment. They were all offered temporary jobs at Disney and have been encouraged to audition for other roles that have almost been set aside specifically for them.

So why did we stand in line for hours to get in? To show those people who have given their lives to earn hour respect that we appreciate every d-a-m-n thing they've done for us, given for us and sacrificed for us over the years just to make us laugh.

But does that justify ruining the experience for others who waited to get in but couldnt? I highly doubt it. Nice try though. And lets not be (for a lack of better words) stupid and over-dramatic here. These actors, while great, sacrificed nothing. They did their job just like everybody else does in this world.

Tonight was about showing well deserved respect to people we care about. And MarkC, with your attitude, that is a feeling I can truly say I believe YOU will never have the chance to enjoy yourself.

I'm not even dignifiying any of the other c-r-a-p you posted with a response, except for this.

You are completely, absolutely wrong. Contracts are locked until February 09. Only one actor was given a full-time contract in an existing WDW venue. Three TOTAL from the Island got American Idol contracts - only one of which came from Adventurers Club. The rest got NOTHING. Some that are not trained as subs in other roles HAVE applied for unemployement.

NO roles were set aside for them. Casting received even LESS notice than they did about the Club's closure.

These people are my FRIENDS. Trust me, I know better what happened behind the scenes than you ever will.
