Rude CM's

I encountered an extremely rude CM in the Haunted Mansion. He told me to drag my wretched body to the dead center of the room. Who is he to call my body wretched? :animwink:

I would have laughed it off and considered it part of the prop... But then again, that is just me.....

And I totally agree about rude guests!!!!!!! Many more rude guests than CM's!!!! :animwink:

A public forum is not the place to deal with rude people.

If you have a genuine complaint about a member of staff it should politely be brought to the attention of their supervisor so that it can be addressed and resolved there and then.

What next - publc floggings in Main Street of rude Cast members

Ill be honest If on the odd occasion I encounter a rude CM I deal with it there and then, with the number of employees Disney has there must be a few purely on the law of averages, a board like this could lead to misrepresent the extent of the issue.

Ditto...

I've bumped into CMs not in the best of moods but, since 1977, the only memorable rudeness I've witnessed at WDW was on the part of the obnoxious guests.

A tip of my Stetson to all the CMs who put up with our demanding, offensive behavior while we expect them to cater to our every whim with a smile.

I hate the guys at the barber shop. I go in there for a haircut and they throw all this crap in my hair and hold out their hand. Like I'm going to pay to look like the side of a bridge? Jerks!

*Jerks* ?????? That was a VERY harsh remark:eek:...I don't see this thread as being very productive and/or positive. There have been many of these *Rude CM* threads and they usually get closed when the infighting starts.
I am off to more friendly and happy threads, the kind that makes me proud to be a member of these boards!

One time my wife and I got on the steam car on Main St. for a quiet ride down the street and the Barbershop Quartet jumped on with us and sang all the way down the street. Completely ruined the experience for us! What should have been a peaceful fun trip turned out to be an excercise in patience as my ears were destroyed by barbershop harmonies. We had to make the car turn around and do it again BY OURSELVES!!! When we were done we found that some idiot CM put Mickey stickers on our backs without us knowing as we drove down the street. So we looked like fools on top of all of that.

Are you being serious or is this a sarcastic complaint. It's Disney World supposed and it is a fun place, noisy place. If your seeking a quiet ride, maybe you should try it somewhere other than the MAGIC KINGDOM. Those dang barbershop quarteters....singing to amuse you, bad people.

The only time I have been treated "rudely" by a CM was when it was part of the show, like in 50's prime time or WCC. (like when I was really thirsty at the WCC once and kept asking for more tea and the waiter said something like "What, have you got a wooden leg or something? Where are you putting all this tea?") Of course that's supposed to happen - that's why we go there!

But seriously, I've encountered CMs who didn't know what they were talking about, but that's understandable. But I have never been treated rudely by a CM. Nor have I seen a CM treat someone else rudely.

This is pretty amazing considering all the time I've spent there, and how many CM encounters I've had. I've never really thought about it before, but you would expect by the law of averages that I would have encountered someone who just had a really bad day, but no. And I'm really trying to think of something.

I can tell you plenty of stories about how CMs were really nice and went over and above for me, however. But that's for another thread.

To each his own, but we would have LOVED to have the Dapper Dans on board with us. In fact, I've been known to sing a song or two with them when they finish their set.

I think the rudest cast members I met were last year, my Mom was in a wheel chair because she fell down the stairs and had emergency knee surgery, instead of canceling the trip, we just rented her a wheelchair.....I have never met ruder cast members in my life than the ones who help you by the wheel chair accessible areas, its like you are really inconveniencing them.

I have met my share of CMs who were overwhelmed or just trying to make it to the end of their shift. Non of them have been out and out rude to me, just appathedic, and most of the time, once you talk to them for a minute and tell them something possitive about your trip/the job they are doing... they perk up.

sarcasm never bodes well on the internet, does it? I think there's quite a few posts where people have been kidding, and people are taking them seriously....

anyways, do we really need another one of these...? :brick:

There are plenty of rude CMs, but singling them out here really doesn't do a whole heck of a lot.
Actually, it does... it usually makes the poster look like the rude one....

I had one experience when I was on college program and someone called me rude, but in my defense he ran across the street through baracades, in the middle of the parade causing all the floats to halt momentarilly. And all I said to him was "sir you cannot do that I understand your family was over here, but you or someone could have been seriously injured or killed", and then after the parade he came up to me and called me rude from my tone, I told him with a softer voice "I was sorry he felt that way, but he could have gotten someone seriously injured"

To everyone, I was being sarcastic, it was actually our most magical moment.

Now, if I could just get an apology from the four idiots posing as Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy that AMBUSHED me in Animal Kingdom and forced my poor wife and me to take a bunch of pictures I would be much happier. Like I want pictures taken with a bunch of "cartoons" when I am trying to enjoy a quiet stroll in Camp Minnie Mickey....

Oh, and to the maid that keeps "making animals" out of my towels......! It is way harder to get a good lather when things are knotted up like that. I have to call housekeeping....I mean, "mousekeeping":brick:, to exchange towels every night.

I've never seen the characters ambush guests. I always see guests lined up for pictures and autographs. Perhaps you were having a particularly blustery day and ended up in a line you thought was for Dole Whips??

Also, I like the towels made into an animals likeness. I typically call Mousekeeping and complain that I didn't get fresh towels and stow the animal ones in my luggage.
