Okay, I've gotten my answer to question. Now I think it is time to end this post. I'm sorry I even asked in the first place. I feel like I'm back in Jr high were everything has a "dirty" meaning. Do not get me wrong a blue comment can be and is funny some of the times, but now everyone is just beating a dead horse!!! Find a new Topic to pervert!

Yenfid, don't you worry, you did nothing wrong. You didn't ask anything bad...just asked a simple valid question and got simple valid answers. It only takes one person to ruin a thread for everyone else. Don't feel that you started some big "bru-ha-ha" because you didn't.

Thanks. I need to hear/read that. I know I didn't do anything wrong, but I did start this thread and it turned into ........Well, what it turned into.

Hey folks,

Just realized what has been going on here in my absence...wooo-whee!!

I had no idea my request for a photo would get me "branded" as a prevert...that's HILARIOUS!! Thanks for those who have rallied behind me in my quest to find a photo of the costumed Jessica Rabbit...appreciate it greatly!

So here we are..two months later.

Has anyone had any success in finding a photo of Jessica in costume form? I am still very interested in seeing how they worked her out. I am curious as to if she was the same as the other Jessica i have seen.

I HAVE seen Jessica "live" and in costume at the 1989 edition of Disney's World on Ice. In this show there is a large section spotlighting Roger, Jessica, and Eddie Valient. It was a great show, and the Roger section was brilliantly staged with lots of slapstick comedy.

Jessica appeared briefly during this section of the show cooing over Roger and she was AWESOME. She was a face character played by a woman who was wearing a beautifully made dress direct from the Ink and Paint Club scene in the movie...all sequined and sparkling. She had the trademark red hair all done up and of course other "features" that were outrageous but fitting for Jessica ( uh oh...sounds like i'm turning into a "pervert" again! Ha Ha HA!!) She looked fabulous, but i can totally see why she was pulled after this tour of the show....not very "Disney" for the wee ones some surely felt after seeing her.

I have a photo from a souvenier program that DOES indeed SHOW JESSICA!!! I would love to share it with everyone, and perhaps learn if this is the same "Jessica" that was seen at the park back then.

I would need some help getting the pic on here as i never have any luck loading photos onto message forums. If anyone would like to volenteer to post it for me let me know and i can send you a scan of the pic. PM me here or leave your e-mail below and i will send it off.

Thanks again, and hope to hear from you!

Hmmmm...there's a fine line between being a pervert and just being a guy wanting to admire a fine work of art

I too would like to see a photo of the Jessica character. I find it hard to believe that Disney would put a character of that costume in a family park. Heck, in the movie alone there was nothing left to the imagination. And honestly, I think the animators made it nearly impossible to cast a reasonable likeness - with the Barbi-like measurements. A character of her stature and apparel is more suited for Universal, not Disney :zipit:

I think someone mentioned it earlier, but there used to be tons of Roger Rabbit stuff after the backlot tour at MGM. There was even a life size card-board cut out of Jessica. All the guys (from about age 13 and up -- inlcuding my husband) were waiting in line to have their picture taken with her. I have the picture somewhere; I'll have to scan and post.

I don't know, I just don't see it -- it was a life size card board cut-out; not the REAL Jessica!

Well, i HAVE a photo of a "real" Jessica as noted in my post above but would need help getting it posted here.

Anyone interested in seeing it? I never have luck posting photos on message forums so if someone could do this i will scan and send this rare pic of her to you.

This thread is full of folks that i'm sure would enjoy seeing her in "live" form as a walkaround character.

Do you have the photo scanned into a photo file on your computer? Do you have a photo gallery here? If not, take care of these two issues right away. Then, you may download your photo into your photo album and link us to it. Let us know when your photo is ready.

All aboard... It is a well known fact that I am driving the bus... I have a few friends spotlighting through the window, and a couple of the cool kids hanging out in the back...
I thought I was driving the bus? :goodnevil

At any rate, lets not forget that Roger is a main icon in the 1980s section of Pop Century.

I have scanned the Jessica photo and have checked out the Photo Album option here on WDWmagic.

I dare not put it in the Photo Section as it would be breaking the stated rule regarding "only post photos you have taken"....as this is NOT a pic i took myself, it is from a 1989 Disney's World on Ice Souvenier Program.

I am trying to get it uploaded to a image hosting site and if i am successful, i will post the link here if that would be cool with everyone.

I'll let everyone know when i have it up!

Sorry I'm late...I understand all perverts are to check in here, so count me in!

If this is a possibility, I gotta go out and buy one of them autograph books...then again, maybe I should look for a career move and try for a HR position for interviews. Can you imagine the difficulty in doing that screening? I will promise to do my best. :D

I think I'll stir the pot. :drevil:

Back in 1988/1989, Playboy magazine did a cover with Playmate Laura Richmond. They dressed her up as Jessica and she looked amazingly similiar.

I don't think it would be too hard for Disney to take a real redhead and put her into a red dress. I just don't think it would be practical for someone in a skin tight evening gown to be walking down Main Street.

Add me to the list of "deviants" wanting to see the picture.

it seems to me that Jessica Rabbit has a great spot over at Pleasure Island. that huge neon billboard of her fits the theme. and call me a prevert, but i thought it was cool (and i'm a female :D )

Alright...i have decided to go ahead and post the pic in the Photo Gallery here..

But HOW do i do this??

I have been there and can find no info or links to download a picture. Nothing...it has me baffled. I've never used the Gallery or photo albums there before (or anywhere for that matter) so i have no idea what to do.

What must i do to get it posted there? I have tried finding info or instruction on HOW TO but no luck.....HELP please!

I should add that i HAVE seen the *live* Jessica appear in a 1990s *Disney*s World On Ice* production, which featured a large skit with a live Eddie, Jessica, and Roger. I have a photo that is buried in my archives in the atticspace, in the original show program. One of these days i need to dig it out as every few years people ask about if there was ever a Jessica. I never knew of her being in the Parks, but she DID indeed appear in past Disney On Ice touring productions.

She looked GREAT....!

I'm not sure of how the agreement is with using them still at the parks as they do have the large statue of Roger in the 80's section at Pop century and they sell tons of Jessica Rabbit pins and merchandise..So there has to be some kind of odd ball contract to use them still but pay Spielberg....You'd think he would be doing something since Dreamworks & Touchstone are doing films right now..
