Ride videos!!!!

I havnt had a chance to upload anything in the last day or so...but dont worry...I have been digging up some of my more "unique" stuff and will glady share as soon as I get the chance....

I have been unable to get on the FTP for days.. I am using CuteFTP with these settings:

12.33.77.254
userid: wdwmagic
pass: media

I set it to try to connect 10 times, wait 60 seconds between each attempt. I have tried a couple times everyday. PopKid is it down for the count?

I have also tried it via windows command prompt:

C:\>ftp 12.33.77.254
> ftp: connect :Connection refused

Is it on a non-standard port, or just down?

Yeah.. hope to be able to play again with the video capture again this weekend. So far the DIVX results are great. I encourage everyone to play with DIVX compression. I will post what I have after trying an uncompressed capture/compression-edit again (and when I can get on the FTP).

hey DisneyJedi,

the ftp was down for the count, but is almost back up to snuff. problem was after i installed the new drive and began copying all the files onto it, one of the drives reported bad sectors and what should've taken a few hours has taken days to fix. anyhow, all is looking good - i'm finishing up with moving the files and then i'm going to open everything back up...

hopefully the problem is gone for good - and things will be smooth sailing, but we'll just have to raise our sails and see...

Alberrisford, try again - but be very careful with your clicking - do not try to download more than one file at a time, do not click a link multiple times - doing so is interpreted as 'hammering' by the server and will ban your IP address...

let me know if you have any problems now

oops. I was tyring to download more than once at a time does that mean that i am "banned" from downloading everything else?

Alberrisford, you should be alright now

if you click on a link, and it doesn't work - wait at least 30 seconds before trying again... too many clicks in a row, and the server will block your IP address. remember, the server will only allow a limited number of users in at a time - so if you click and nothing happens, it's probably just busy. wait 30 seconds and then try again. if i find too many people are waiting, i will increase the number of users allowed in...

it's funny, that's the only way i remember the subs looking - with the fold down seats. don't recall what the inside was like after they 'updated' to the yellow subs. damn, i remember being so little one time it was hard to sit on the seat and look out the window...

would it be posible for everybody who has put a file on the ftp server, to say what the file is called ie. leagues001.wmv and say what it is, as i am slightly confused with files such as:

luau001.mpg

also, i am slightly concerned, is there anything to stop anyone logging in uploading unappropriate material and naming it something like mr-toad.wmv ???

well, i didn't really mean for people to access the ftp thru an ftp client - if you review this post, you will find links and descriptions of all the files posted. and the account used to access these links DOES NOT have upload rights, so there's no worry about improper uploads...
