Did a quick search and didn't see it anywhere so here it is.

From a friend on the inside:

============================

Booking Window Expanding to Previous Level
Big news for our Guests! Previously, the 180+10 was our policy; this policy was changed to 90+10 a little over a half year ago. Back by popular demand to allow our Guests a longer booking window for our restaurants. 180+10 means: all Guests can book a WDW Restaurant as early as 180 days prior to the day they will dine; Guests staying in a WDW resort can book a WDW restaurant 190 (180+10) days prior to the day they will dine.

Effective October 27th.

I so hope this is true! I hate having to wait til the 90 day mark to book, it seems as if it has made it harder to get ADRs that you want.

I really dont get how people can know where they want to dine 6 monhs ahead of time... We just booked for october and figured out where we wanted to be... granted we also had to know the MNSSHP schedule as well... at least the online dinning resies are easy to use, most of the time... (still didnt get canada.)

what is the difference than waiting 180 days of 90 days... it is equally hard to get what you want in many cases... like canada!

Its easy - you plan your days around the park hours and EMH. After that - you pick your restaurants.

You have to eat somewhere - the advantage to planning 180 days out is being virtually guaranteed to get what you want (as a lot of folk don't work that far ahead)

If its true - then well done Disney

And you have your "must do" favorites on top of that - so we find it very easy to book that far in advance.

Hopefully someone will be able to confirm it shortly. I trust the info 100%, but I lurk here more than post - so I certainly understand you don't know me from a hill of beans :)

I just wish they would make up their mind. First it was 180 days out, then 90 days for everything but CRT and CM, now we are back to 180 days out. What is next all restaurants that serve fried chicken reserve at 97 days out unless they also serve steak then they will be reserved at 105 days out but if they serve alcohol the will book at 123 days out.:brick:

This could make sense if the 90 day window was only instituted to ease the transition to the new ADR system.

Yeah but didn't they say it was changed to 90 days to help with the transition to online ADR's? It's not a complete shock they have reverted eventually even if not as early as they originally said they would.

I'd be pleased with the decision except its not in time for my next trip! Roll on Sep 4th, keeping fingers crossed while making those ADR's

This jives with the earlier statements that the 180 would come back once the online reservation system was up and running. I agree that 180 days is ridiculous. I do miss the days of being able to walk up almost anywhere and get a table.

To us, unless they also release park hours and EMH 6 months in advance 180 day dining reservations are useless :brick:

Sure, some people can think that far out.. Bu I didn't even have my b-day trip planned out till recently.. about 60 days out. and hours are constantly in flux, not to mention were the days for Octobers MNSSHP released 180 days out. 90 is a perfect number, heck DL does 60 if I remember.. and they get plenty of international tourists.

I wish they would make it 365... that way, i could go ahead and book a trip while we have the money and it hasnt gone to something else. If done, then when something else comes up, i can say..."ahhh, I wish we could use that 2k for it, but it has paid for that Disney trip in September 2010"

We can lock up that room 499 days out. Should I get you booked for September of 2010?

hopefully this is a sign that park hous will start to be released 6 months in advance like they used to as well.

TDO can't decide what show goes on what foot, you want them to tell you the times of park operations 6 months out? Look how messed up they are 90 days out. They should just stop the ADR nonsense completely, or move it 45 days out.

My trip is for Nov 3, I was able to book all my ADR's except for the Fantasmic Dinner Show, I've called at least 8 times and they still don't have access for booking the dinner package. I know the dates of the shows, so I figured the CM's would be able to book the show package
