I love park hopping, I’m frankly just done with the park I rope dropped sometime between 12-3 as the lines have gotten too long, I’ve done all the attractions I care to there and frankly want some new experiences. Going to a new park gives me back some energy. Besides there are precious few Disney rides I wish to marathon or even ride more then 2x in one day (ToT, Everest, Guardians, Soarin, BTMRR, TSMM, both water parks lazy rivers, Typhoon Lagoon the pool and that’s about it.)

Park hopping makes perfect sense for the frequent traveler…use it everyday.
I'll pretty often visit 3 parks in a single day. MK in morning, back to hotel, EPCOT for an early dinner, monorail back to MK or over to DHS. Those 3 particularly you can really jump around especially if you're a regular and aren't trying to follow some itinerary.

As a local, I also frequently start at DHS, hop via skyliner/walking/boat to Epcot and then hop to MK at some point.

This sounds absolutely miserable, no offense 😂

Imagine being at Magic Kingdom from open to close 🤢
They’re not “ride parks”…they’re ambiance parks. No need to do full days…switch it up each day and they don’t get to be burdensome. Not only that…some food is crappy…especially magic kingdom…you use other parks to eat better.

Maybe I’m just a kook? 🤪

Unfortunately, I think they need to end monthly payments. Secondly, they need to add a DVC specific tier. The fact that DVC members couldn't purchase APs during this time is ridiculous. Those guests are coming with or without APs being on sale; they are just needlessly forced to spend more during this temporary time period.

So monthly payment plans caused disney to under build attractions for 25 years? Strange.
I agree DVC should have it's own pass. Thats 3x as expensive. 😁 see we can both make rediculous statements when in all reality Disney should just grow the parks to match attendance.

You’re suggesting they spend hundreds of millions (if not billions) just to alleviate the current attendance levels without adding any additional revenue?

Adding capacity costs money. When companies spend money they need to make more money. Making more money means more guests. This is not the simple problem you believe it is.

The revenue is not in ticket sales…it never has been and never will be. It’s the high profit ancillary sales…but Iger REALLY messed with that dynamic

Hopping is invaluable when staying at an Epcot resort. The ability to pop in and out of Epcot for breakfast, lunch, afternoon wine or dinner pays for the hopper. Or to pop in DHS.
I also think park hoppers benefit longer stays.

To circle back - I hope, at least for resort guests, the 2pm start for hopping disappears so we can saunter in and out as we please again. 😂

It's funny - if they were to do away with park reservations, I know I would still plan my park days ways in advance anyways. I like to plan things out before I do them (then usually pay no attention to said plan when the time comes...).

But I agree it would be nice to be able change my mind with ease of knowing I can w/out a reservation.

I am not totally in agreement here. We go down every few years, and we always spend at least one day of the trip totally at MK. However, the rest of the trip we do park hop as AK is still a half day park to me, and DHS is also not a full day so we park hop quite a bit to EPCOT to eat and such...

It’s unlikely they’ll ever do this unless we’re in full on travel recession and attendance falls well below their college slave staffing levels.

Agree…and disagree…go early and go late. Midday throng with the glut that can’t get out of the room early and the Star baking me is just not a fun prospect.

…also We’ve been trained to do this the moment they put in the reservation fees. Which was the real point of doing it.

For resort guests, I'd put that in the bin of starting to charge for onsite transportation: Not going to happen BIN.

For some new AP programs, I wouldn't say it's impossible to draw that conclusion.

Well, yes, you are 🤪, but not in this regard. I haven't done a park from open to close since I was 14. Always hop, always get away from the midday throngs, etc... Mornings and nights are where it's at.

Well, the one day we pull a full MK only, we do sneak back to the resort of a nap in the afternoon to miss the heavy sun
That being said, every trip I have ever made to WDW has been in June/July/August timings. We just booked a trip in January for 2023 and can't wait to compare to the sweat shop we are used to.
