No, he doesn't...that is false.

No, you most certainly do not. The Constitution of the United States grants you no such "rights".

Exactly. Thank you for making my point.

I was not stating facts. I was not arguing civil rights. I never once stated that my civil rights were being violated. I said it was a pet peeve and it bugged me.

That is interesting-- does anybody know?

It is a good question... and I dont know if Disney has (owns) the air rights above their parks. That would take some research.

For instance... a LOT of buildings here in Chicago have / own the "air" rights.

Like... someone at the ground level can own the property... yet.. they can and do sell air and underground rights to others... for them to develop / do whatever they want, within reason. It certainly is a very gray area.

But since there are no major major skyscraper like buildings on WDW... I doubt they have "air rights"

*shrug* totally just a stab in the dark here.

See below:
Public AIR space.

To answer several person's questions about WDW's airspace, it is not owned by Disney. Technically, it is "owned" by the people of the United States and is controlled by NORAD.

I didn't even think about it where Chicago is concerned... that is interesting...

I want underground rights

Actually, you had a little more than that to say about it.

From your first post...
I hope whoever does this on a regular basis will get in trouble.
Little harsh for it just being a "pet peeve", don't you think??

Yeah... someone just bought the underground rights to the Boeing, World Headquarters building. Something about train improvements... so it could of been Amtrak or another train company. I forget. :)

Public AIR space.
I probably should've stated this in my initial post, that I am aware that in this specific case the area it is occuring on is not actuall WDW property, and therefore is perfectly legal. I was just saying that you check your Bill of Rights at the gate along with your brain when you enter WDW.

Alright, no use picking anybody's posts apart. It doesn't change anything as far as the rules are concerned.

I hope lots of people get in trouble, lots of times. :lookaroun Especially when I am driving :fork: It doesn't make it right or even rational, but it's just the way I feel

I don't care if they are advertising Jesus, Don Imus, Free Pizza, or a Club, it shouldn't be allowed over WDW. Takes away from the feel for me, and I think they should find a way to stop it if they can.

I agree free speech is one thing but when it disruptes someone elses personal space then we should draw the line. Just not in the sky:lookaroun

OK, found a tad more info about the no-fly that was in effect in 2003 (which is when the incident may or may not have occurred). Seems the FAA did establish a no-fly zone around WDW AT THAT TIME, but it's probably no longer in effect.

Also read something about how the majority of restrictions are only to 3,000 ft, whereas skywriters, etc. fly above that.

Well... ok... to be even more technical here... no one owns anything air related really... over WDW... The FAA... but they just regulate it.... not so much own.
I think that's why that poster put "owned" in quotes.

...:lookaroun ... that's what I was thinking...

This happens a lot around WDW. I've never seen it done in Epcot however. The only one's I've seen have been "Jesus Loves You"

Just pointing out a couple of flaws in logic...

But seriously, nobody really thinks somebody else should get in trouble for annoying them, do they?? Let's not start dictacting what we think should be allowed and what shouldn't...because pretty soon someone is going to be doing the same thing to us.

Hmm.. I don't remember hearing that airspace was closed that day. Nor do I recall there being a quiter time in my neighborhood other than the week after 9/11. But I do know that F-16s were deployed in my area and the same went for the other said areas. I guess that if they were deployed, the airspace was closed.
