News Reimagined Toontown coming

They've been doing this since it opened, as far as I know. Once the barn is full, they use some of the grass space, and also park a TON at the entrance to the land.
Ah didn't know. I always see a bunch of complaints on Twitter about strollers occupying the greenery or walkways, so thought this was a somewhat recent change lol.

They've been experimenting with it a lot, I think they mostly keep the grass clear now, but yeah the barn has been used for parking for quite some time now, with overflow placed.. where they can.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know where I can find the rest of the music loop for the land? They haven't done anything new with it on YouTube lately. I'm particularly looking for the Donald Duck theme and "Steamboat Willie", neither of which are found on YouTube, at least not the newer versions.

Stroller parking moved to (kinda) backstage?

This was the old maintenance garage for the Toontown Trolley system in the 90's. Seems rather bleak and charmless immersive and charming.

They could have at least decorated the place a bit.

Yeah, they could have at least put some fake tree roots in there and had a summer intern write a Parks Blog post about it's backstory.

Are you immersed? Because I'm immersed. 🧐

Soon we can be dining in the Car Barn on Main Street!

Which at least that is realized, minus the back half where garbage back liner boxes are stacked and stored. (I worked Custodial at MK in the 2000s for a season)

Are the strollers with the yellow wheels the Disneyland rented ones? Why are they double wide? They don't even fit in the lanes they painted on the ground.

lol at people complaining about the dumbest stuff, just desperate to be angry about something. Every time Ive been to TT its been packed with kids playing on the soft ground and roots, they all seem to enjoy it a lot. The entire TT redo is one of the best themed areas in any park now imo

Surprised the kid with an impromptu trip to the DLR this weekend. My mini-trip report of the new ToonTown & MMRR.

First of all, I'll note that we visited the land twice over the course of 3 days. This says something, as we usually skip the land entirely. The first visit included a cold brew coffee (huge thumbs up from the husband) from Daisy's, and a tour of the new land. During our exploration of Goofy's back yard, we all took a trip down those weird rolling tube slides. My daughter said they hurt, I thought they felt weird, and my husband couldn't understand what was wrong with us. 🤣 Also during our tour, we ran into a Disney Vlogger that I follow. I realized today that we ended up in his video (We're famous!! ha!). After our tour of the land, we took our first ride on MMRR. We all loved it! This ride is a GREAT addition to the park and TT. "Nothing Can Stop Us Now" became the earworm of the vacation (In fact, we're still singing it 🤣 ).

On our second visit to the land, we rode MMRR and then the daughter and husband rode Roger Rabbit. I wasn't feeling up to the spinning, so I got some popcorn and enjoyed the new "grassy" area. There were several families having picnics on the "grass", as well as a number of kids playing tag. I, however, did not plop myself on the ground (I wanted to make @TP2000 's mom proud). Instead, I sat dignified on one of the benches in the shade. Truth be told, @TP2000 's mom would probably not be ok with the fact that I took off my shoes and enjoyed the fake grass on my feet. I was actually thankful it was fake, as real grass would've been wet at that time of the day and would've got my socks wet. 😂

tl;dr - Great new version of the land. Great new ride. The land feels complete now. Thumbs up from us.

yeah I feel the same way, they really hit a homerun with the new ToonTown including MMRR. Its crazy that no other Disney park has a anything close to ToonTown in DL. Tianas Palace is also looking great imo as is the Treehouse. I think DIsney has been doing good things in CA lately. but thats just imo.

Also the downtown disney expansion is picking up the pace and theyre finishing up on the Pixar Hotel and DVC Tower. A lot happening at the DL resort right now and the Disney forward stuff and avengers expansion rumors as well. Hopefully we hear something soon

Somewhere upstairs, my mom is beaming with pride at you.

And she would have been right there with you kicking off her dyed-to-match heels next to you. As long as you were sitting on a proper seat like a lady, you can actually get away with a lot. Heels off, drinks up, voices down, it can be a lot of fun actually.

It's when anyone over the age of 12 plops themselves on the ground or floor in public that it all falls apart. Because (and she's right on this) the human body after childhood just doesn't look attractive when flopped on the ground like a beached manatee.

Don't know if it is the full music loop, but they put up a whole album of songs from the land on Spotify.
