I read that Toontown was blocked off to all except those that had a VQ or ILL for MMRR, right?
So, this is just what it looks like with just folks with access to MMRR. Is that correct?
Yep!

They weren’t raised right!!!Mickey and Minnie, after all, are sitting out on the grass for their picnic.
Or, is that bad etiquette?
They definitely need a PM on here. Seems confusing.Helpful, but would probably be less confusing if it said REopens at 10.
I was under the impression they brought the sign out in the late afternoon each single day. Therefore, this labeling isn’t really a concern. They definitely need a PM on here. Seems confusing.
Even so, any opportunity to correct potential ambiguity that isn't going to come across in a way that is heavy handed is probably for the guests' benefit.I was under the impression they brought the sign out in the late afternoon each single day. Therefore, this labeling isn’t really a concern.
It was there yesterday morning which was extra confusing since toontown was never open. Guests with reservations could enter toontown to ride runaway railway but toontown is very much still closed.I was under the impression they brought the sign out in the late afternoon each single day. It's all re-orchestrated themes written for the Paul Rudish Mickey Mouse cartoons. You can recognize the "Hall of Science" theme found in shorts like "Down the Hatch" (which would be better suited in Tomorrowland IMO), the theme from "Cable Car Chaos," "Easy Street," etc. I'm sure there are more but those are the ones I recognize. It's probably too soon to ask, but does anyone have a quasi-definitive list of all the songs that play in the land? From my scouring the various videos on the ride and the surrounding area, I notice that it has been changed drastically. All I can make out just by listening are the closing theme from the "Mickey Mouse" series (for which lyrics were created in "The Adorable Couple") and "The Mickey Mouse Club March", but that's it. Everything else is unfamiliar to me.

I recommend you check out the music from the Mickey Mouse/Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse shorts. They’re really good!I don't recognize them, because I'm far less familiar with those cartoons than with the classics. The opening ceremony of the ride ended with the Goofy theme, of all things, so I take it to hope that it's included in the loop as well. But that's probably asking too much. I'm pretty sure, in any case, we'll probably have to wait until at least March, when the rest of the land reopens, before we know for certain what the complete loop is. I have a feeling, though, that might be it.

Not sure what the Toontown loop will end up including, but in my opinion, some of these would fit really well in Toontown.
Agreed. However, I'll reserve final judgement until the land is open and operating for real. Unless the area isn't finished, I really expect that this is just going to end up being stroller parking. It looks much better when it’s being used.
Yeah, seeing it in use, it does not bother me at all.
The women in my family had a strict rule for all of us kids as we entered our teenage years. No one over the age of 12, especially young ladies, was allowed to sit on the ground/floor in public in front of strangers.
The thought was, and it's quite true, that the human body does not look attractive when plopped on the ground. Sitting on the ground spreads hips and thighs, curves backs, slumps necks, and makes legs and arms go all akimbo. Clothing is ruined, tailoring is impossible to manage as your body contorts into bends, and you just look like a giant blobby sea creature stranded on the sand.
This picture reminded me of that. No one, even fit and slender people, looks attractive when they sit on the ground in public. And if you are the least bit out of shape, or worse, you look absolutely inhuman and shapeless. A stranded sea cucumber washed ashore.
Couldn't they put some benches and picnic tables out in this AstroTurf park??? They want people to sit on the hard plastic grass?

This is a bit dramatic. It looks like a public park in use. Like a nice subsection of Dolores Park in SF on a sunny weekend. When I first saw this picture, it did not look like Disneyland.
Reminded me of all the homeless folks flopped out along Harbor Blvd.
Just …..why….?

I imagine it has to do with avoiding tripping hazards, but I like this idea!I think the grass would look better if they formed different mounds and elevations instead of just flat. Picnic tables, like others have suggested, would also tie it in a bit better I think.
