This is one of my worries. Let's say this show turned out to be really amazing and end up being one of or the best nighttime spectaculars to date, this has already left a bad taste in everyone's mouth that it will definitely affect everyone's opinion about the show.
You don’t have to worry about it.
I can guarantee it won’t be worth it.
The views are completely destroyed by the set pieces. If you enjoyed strolling around the World Showcase and occasionally stopping to take in the unique perspective it offered, kiss that goodbye.
They really are that awful. And only 2/5 of them are in place...
And the fountains are not even turned on yet...
I get letting Disney sort stuff out, and to not be quick to judge, but there is absolutely no way these things “blend in”.
Additionally, the poor show of working on them in front of everyone is outrageous. Walt was so concerned with not breaking the illusion which was crafted he insisted the Magic Kingdom be built above tunnels just so stuff like janitors and characters in costume would not be seen except when wanted.
These set pieces are not even working properly. They are still being tested and having kinks worked out, but they are doing so in the middle of the day, in full view of the guests.
That is their mindset: the show does not matter.
It’s pathetic.
