Does The District have 2500 employees? If not, then the stipend does not seem like an equitable trade based on the numbers they provided.
The Orlando Sentinel reported the district employs about 400 people.

And this boards solution is to give 1K perks to all while only 50% used it in the pass. Must be the new math way to save money and eliminate waste
Looks like Disney was charging the district about $75 per month per board member for the VIP passes. Something tells me they knew about the $100 limit…
So were they doing something wrong? Cute? Or just some creative accounting?Disney doing their homework before leaping?

Something the new boss could learn from
“The taxpayers”, “the taxpayers”, “the taxpayers”! Aren’t these tax payers just businesses in the district, who agreed to these taxes when agreeing to do business in the district?
Right, it just feels like they’re trying to get people riled up who don’t understand that the only individual citizens that are affected by theses taxes are the 50ish people that live in Lake Buena Vista and not the general Florida population. In a pure vacuum - you can say a government is still obligated to do right by all it's citizens, not just those who 'went along with it'. Of course all normal 'populace' descriptions really don't play out well in the district given the ownership situation.
New Press release from the Central Florida Oversight District :Every time they write a "press release" it just comes off as so petty and petulant.
They used to get the same benefits as a Disney employee. It is to families as well. Each employee gets 3 guest tickets on top of their pass and if they are married their spouse also gets a ticket. So the district is replacing 4 to 5 annual passes with $1000 it doesn't add upWas the benefit only extended to the employee or to each person in the household?
But they are sticking it to disney!!!They used to get the same benefits as a Disney employee. It is to families as well. CENTRAL FLORIDA TOURISM OVERSIGHT DISTRICT ADDRESSES MEN'S RESTROOM TOILET SEAT ISSUE
Central Florida, August 22, 2023 — The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (CFTOD) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all of our facilities. We take pride in providing a welcoming environment for visitors and employees alike. Today, we address a recent issue that has come to our attention concerning a restroom in our building.
Recently, it has been brought to our attention that there have been instances of the toilet seat not being properly placed in the down position in the men's restroom on the second floor. We understand that this can be an inconvenience and discomfort for our staff and guests, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
CFTOD is actively addressing this matter and taking steps to ensure that our restroom facilities meet the high standards of cleanliness and comfort that our visitors and employees expect. We have initiated the following actions to rectify the situation:
CFTOD remains committed to providing an outstanding experience for all those who visit our facilities. We deeply value the feedback and concerns of our patrons, and we are committed to addressing them promptly and effectively.
- Increased Monitoring: We have increased the frequency of restroom checks to ensure that the toilet seats are properly placed down after use.
- Awareness Campaign: CFTOD is launching an awareness campaign reminding all restroom users of the importance of leaving the toilet seat down after use for the comfort and convenience of everyone.
- Maintenance and Upgrades: We are also evaluating the restroom facilities on the second floor to identify any issues that may contribute to this problem and will undertake any necessary maintenance and upgrades.
- Feedback Mechanism: We encourage our visitors and employees to provide feedback on their experiences in our facilities, including restroom cleanliness and comfort, through our website and customer service channels.
- Govenor Ron DeSantis, has appointed a district maintenance lead from a member of his cabinet to tackle this and other similar issues. We are earmarking an annual salary of three hundred, sixty thousand dollars for this position, in whole, with money we will be saving after putting an end to the recently discovered Disney ticket scheme.
We thank everyone for their understanding and patience as we work to resolve this matter. The comfort and satisfaction of our visitors and employees are of utmost importance to us, and we will continue to strive for excellence in all aspects of our operations.

Tell me that wasn't believable at least when you started reading it
They all come off as if Glenn personally wrote them. He probably did. 400K to a chair of a podunk development district while the Governor gets 140K? That should be investigated and the taxpayers of the district should demand it!
The next issues CFTOD may address areNew Press release from the Central Florida Oversight District :
