Thanks, Marsrunner. I rolled my eyes when GothMickey posted and knew it was only a matter of time till someone quoted the actual words said on the earlier thread on this topic.. Which in no way show 74 was either wrong, OR telling Steve he was wrong... In fact, quite the opposite.

I'm getting really sick of people's false views of "objectivity".

The proof is in the pudding. I suggest the thread be locked.

I don't think calling for threads to be locked everytime someone posts something you don't like helps matters. It's easier to just leave any thread you find troubling.

Please, I appreciate the sentiment, but it's wasted.

There are some folks here who would rather attack my credibility than dare criticize TDO or Iger and Rasulo. Why should facts get in the way with attacks based on opinions (and in this case an outright lie about what I said)? There are a vocal minority that want me to leave here so they can suck on pixie dust 24/7.

It's all about pi$$ing contests and it gets old very quickly.

FWIW, Disney's 'updated' release isn't even accurate. It states MK will be open 9-11 on the Fourth (what has been posted for months on the website) ... all internal schedules were updated this week to reflect an 8-1 operating day at MK.

In other words, yet again TDO doesn't have its poo together.

Oh and before folks start praising TDO for showing the July 4th show on the 3rd as well, I'll point out that in Anaheim they are showing the show from July 2-5.

The real question is, if there were people here who only want to "suck on pixie dust 24/7", why does that make you so angry?

And it's a ridiculous characterization of what happens on this forum. You are just troubled about people being pleased about WDW while you find your own self miserable about it. Misery loves company and all that.

:D I'm not a miserable sot.

Ugh...And they have the "smaller" demographic.

We need DL Parks Ops. Now.

No. Sshhh ...

Doncha know how many people are visiting the MK on July 3rd for the only time in their lives and they won't get to see Wishes now?!??!

The horror!!!!

Their trip will be ruined because they'll have to suffer through the July 4th show!

So in the original thread (http://forums.wdwmagic.com/showthread.php?t=446135) the only interplay between WDW1974 and wdwmagic I can see is the following:

So, just for the sake of accuracy, where did WDW1974 say that Steve was "wrong"? As near as I can tell, Steve pointed out (correctly, as it turns out) that the hours were longer than what had currently been posted on the Disney site along with an additional showing on the 4th fireworks, and WDW1974 pointed out that the press releases didn't say the same.

Am I missing something (quite possible!), or is this just another attempt by one side of this argument to twist the words of the other side?

But as Marsrunner just pointed out he wasn't wrong and did not say steve was wrong. The issue here is that you have made a false accusation

Ok, I can admit when I am completely and totally wrong. I had the wrong topic that Steve and 74 went back and forth on. It WASN'T about the July 4th hours. It was about the demographic of guests between Disneyland and WDW.

So, 74, my sincerest apologies. :)

It doesn't make me angry at all.

It bothers me that the dust suckers can't stand other viewpoints to be presented, so they engage in attacks constantly.

You know nothing about that right JT?

No. It isn't. I have never seen a forum where so much time is spent defending management as they continue to lower quality, raise prices and tarnish an amazing legacy of both a man and an organization built on being the best and trying to do the impossible.

And you are a total moron if you believe I am miserable about WDW ... that's why I'm heading there again soon. You're clueless.

I've been experiencing WDW as long or longer than you. Pre-Epcot. And I do not see a steady decline. I see the usual cycles of build outs, as confirmed by E. Sotto, that frequently happen.

If there is a problem with WDW is that it is too successful and was built up faster than it should have been and when Eisner lost his bearings, that was reflected in the quality at WDW.

I also, and quite objectively, see the trend lines turning around. I'm not blinded by emotionality and childhood sentimentality. So I think that helps.

So, I hope slamming what you see as the "pixie dust crowd" helps you sleep at night but it really is not what happens here. It's sad that you can't seem to grasp what happens on this forum. If you ever "get it", you'll be embarassed. If you are capable of such.

At least your MAN enough to admit when your wrong which always garners respect in my book. The same can't be said for that other clown.

I'm waiting for WDW74 to admit that he was wrong about the props from the AC being shipped off to Japan too! Wow, once again we agree!

Karma-esque

Have you noticed a decline in maintenance/frequency of refurbs in recent years (past 10) since you have been going to WDW?

Not in total. You also have to factor in the late Eisner years which became troubling for the entire company. It takes awhile to turn things around but with the number of projects going on I'm not sure how anyone can deny there is a change for the better.

Thank you Con. I can admit when I am wrong. No issues with admitting failure.

I love it. You offer a sincere apology in one thread and the guy is slamming you in another thread. Someday you will learn how anti-social those two "clowns" are.

Bitter and bitterer

Like I said, I can admit when I am wrong and apologize. Others can't. So be it.

I suggested the thread be locked not because it was something I didn't like... If that were the case, I'd follow you around and suggest every thread be closed. :D

Kidding. Mostly.

I suggested it be closed because the thread was to provide news about the new posted times. It was posted, Steve cooraborated (sp?) the information, and discussion was quickly going downhill from there. Nothing good was going to come from it. Things have been much more civil the past week. I was trying to keep it that way.

If you were objective, you'd have seen that. :lookaroun:lol:

First, apologies aren't needed when someone makes a legit mistake ... but it's classy of you, so thanks.

I don't mind people questioning me at all or debating. What I don't like is the endless personalization that some folks here regularly engage in.

VERY good of you, GM. Bravo. Let's hope everyone can do the same when they jump to conclusions... Me included. In fact, I'm pretty sure just yesterday I did the same with my good buddy jt. :o
