Either way we should hear about it soon. The announcement about Shanghai is just around the corner. It won't be long. If your a D23 member get ready for some geekdom.

So sounds like a duplicate of a E-ticket ride going into Shanghai most likely.

1. Adventureland: Well the Prince of Persia movie didn't do overly well. Narnia is out of the question also. Zorro, no new movie and who owns the rights anyway? Think Lee said not Indy based. Lone Ranger is a Frontierland type deal. What else is there anyone?

2. Tomorrowland: Tron. Number 2 out and number 3 planned for I would guess. Wall-E, this makes most sense because of established character. Incredibles. Still do not know what a superhero family from now has to do with Tomorrowland.
The little Martian guys from Toy story. This would be an other established character ride. Pirate mountain if there is such a thing would be good bet. Fire mountain possible.

So maybe SGE or MI laugh floor out and Wall-E in. Or if there is a pad in AL then Pirate mountain or Fire mountain.

I'm just wondering, but could Project Z be something as simple as restoring The Enchanted Tiki Room, which has recently be given the greenlight due to the small fire that happend a couple of days ago? hahah I have noooo idea if this is true but I read that Iago recieved quite a bit of water damage, so maybe it's possible they're gonna fix it up for the 40th? Idk. I suppose it would depend on when Lee talked about Project Z, and if the attraction is as bad as I read it was. Heck, I don't even know if it's still running lol I have no idea.

Would be nice....but sadly it was posted today on here that TDO ordered a replacement Iago and that the Tiki Room is to reopen in June.. EPIC FAIL if this is indeed true!!! SHAME ON TDO for squandering a Golden Opportunity to give us the Disneyland show here at WDW (shortened version of thr original) in time for the 40th! SHAME SHAME if its true!

Where's Lee, Raven, and Juan to get in on the early Sweepstakes? Must be exhausted from all the prognostications of yesterday . . . .

Rest? Yes. But it's been kinda fun to sit back and read this thread without saying a word. It's very interesting and compelling to see members work through the rumors and clues and other ones coming up with some wild ideas. All are great ideas acually!

In summary, I have been made aware of a potential new ride for MK, the development of which is tied closely to an international park. (There is quite a cost savings to be had when a ride is developed for two parks at the same time, like Mermaid. That is the case with this one.)
I have obtained a very basic description of the ride, and been told everything from "highly likely" to "greenlit". None of it is firm enough yet for me to post any real detail. I will say that the theme will be no surprise to anyone here.

And Lee, I will continue to do some digging for you to find some information about this attraction. If it is to be built in WDW I would be ecstatic!

It's funny. Some posts in this thread have already hit the nail on the head with what it could be (Both Lee's attraction rumor and the one I mentioned being looked at for an upgrade at MK). But this often happens on these threads and it's entertaining for us to see people work it out themselves. Sorry, can't say what they are yet.

The "gift" I mentioned yesterday that I sent to Lee isn't anything of interest to anyone really. I used the term "greenlit" about it loosly because everyone is familiar with that word. But it's long over with now. No biggie.

Other attractions around the property are being looked at for revamps/upgrades as well. These aren't official by any means but are simply being "looked at" and concepts have been made (aka blue sky).

So more than one person in this thread has gotten it right. I now have 8 pages to go through...

8 pages? You can go to "User CP" and under "Settings & Options" click the "Edit Options" link and change the number of posts you can see on one page. For me, so far this thread is only 3 pages.

This makes the most sense to me, actually. But I'm really hoping for a new E-ticket.

Right. I doubt Wall E would be an E ticket. I'm thinking Tomorrowland would be the location because 1) It needs improvement. 2) Something could be done with Wall E, Monsters Inc, Toy Story, Tron. Non of which were bombs at the box office.

Buzz Lightyear could go since Toy Story Mania exists at HS. Monsters Inc is a relatively new attraction but Tokyo Disney has a newer more exciting Monsters. Could put newer Monsters Inc in the combined space of Buzz and Monsters?
If Tron is being developed for Shanghai then maybe something in Tomorrowland?

I'd like to know if this project has already been announced or has yet to be announced internationally before my head begins to hurt. :veryconfu

Haha well the problem is I think every option has been mentioned many times. Sorting out the correct one may be tough.
:ROFLOL:

I have it narrowed down to the following:

Fire Mountain
Tron
Wall-E
Incredibles
Horizons

Correct me if I missed something. But I would put money on Fire Mountain, maybe with an Adventurers Club type building for the queue entrance.

It's not Horizons... Sorry to shatter fanboy dreams (including my own) but Horizons is never coming back no matter how badly we want it to...

If it's tied to a future attraction at an international park, we can look at what has been announced, but not built yet. Hong Kong Disneyland has a few rides that could fit (Mystic Point, the river rapids and the coaster) but then again, it could be a ride in the works for Shanghai...that nobody has any clue what it could be.

Everything I've seen posted says it's an attraction for Shanghai.

At least Lee, Raven, and Juan have a clue ;).

Amazing how we can't even make it one full day before we want Disney to announce the next thing lol

Personally, I think it should be something in Adventureland. Being that when I was a CP and my friends and I would go to the MK, some how we would always spend most of our time in Tomorrowland. Not saying that TL doesnt need some work but I think that they should do something to focus some attention of AL. Some thrills might help.

Also being a New England raised boy, I would love to see Liberty Square getting some TLC as well. Not sure if there is any free space over there but maybe something to make it a better area as most normal guests sometimes have no idea that it is even its own land. A friend of mine thought it was part of Frontierland......:brick:

It is a thrill ride "currently" unique to Shanghai. In quotations, of course, because currently it doesn't even exist, but it is 100% official - for Shanghai. Eassssssy there, MK fanboys.

Lee also confirmed it was for MK. I think we may be thinking too big quite oftne here.

Someone said it was shot down as a possiblity but one of the first places my mind went when I saw 'green' was the speedway/autopia style cars the newer international parks have gotten. Not too familiar with those though.

It is not confirmed for MK. Not by a long shot. And it has nothing to do with any type of green initiative. Nice thought, but that's not even close to what he's talking about, not to mention much more tame.

When Raven said greenlit - exactly as was later clarified, Raven MEANT greenlit as in the start of a project just to use broad terms most people were in the know of.
