Princess Fairytale Hall - when is it supposed to open?

It has always been slated for a 2014 opening... that is not news. Question is when in 2014...

Hopefully as far away on the 2014 calendar as they can get from Potterland 2.0 with the Hogwarts Express train and Gringotts Bank Coaster.

The tough part for TDO is that it's probably closer to Potterland 2.0 than they would like. I almost feel sorry for them. Almost.

The Mine Train is opening between January and March according to sources here with Potter not opening until June at the earliest it would seem. There's some gap there, but whatever hype the dwarfs and parade can build will be silenced pretty quickly with Potter.

Thank you very much for the concise update. 2014 should be even more interesting to watch than 2012 was.

This and the mine coaster are the slowest moving projects known to man. Oh wait.. avatarland...

avatarland?? Just let it be a year or two and you saved money on not building it.
Nice movie but not worth the money to build a land for.
Oh well animal kingdom can use the update.

This is a snarky, thoughtless and unfair belittling of the need of backpacking necessary items within the parks, and you know it.

You're clearly not a parent. Either that, or a very poor one.

Before we depart the hotel for any park, we pull out the backpack and stuff it with necessary items. These items include - rain gear for the entire family, a dslr camera, 1-2 additional lenses, first aid supplies, water, etc

Now, if I forget the camera, I might not 'fail' as a parent....but if I forget rain gear, water and band aids -- in a matter of 5 minutes, I can have a skinned knee, a dehydrating kid and a downpour....sorry, pal. The backpack is necessary and it contains none of the crap you allude to. Put your head back in the sand.

Right and everything you said can go in a back pack, no need for a stroller, I am a parent, a very good one, and have had no need for a stroller in the parks. Both of my children walk and have walked every time they have been, if there is something they want or can't live without, then they carry it and understand that if they aren't going to want it or need it the duration of the time we are out, then they should just leave it behind.

Thanks for the reply. It better be some damn impressive in there...walls were up last year when we were there, and I could swear they said it would be open by summer 2013. Oh, well. :)

This image was posted on this site in November 2012. The sign says "Coming Soon 2013"
http://www.wdwmagic.com/attractions/fantasyland/gallery/08nov2012-princess-fairytale-hall/17475.htm

Now that doesn't say when in 2013, but putting that sign up in November would lead most to believe in would be earlier in 2013 than later. However, they certainly left that up to your own imagination and gave themselves a lot of room to work with. This allowed them to deal with problems, or even deprioritize this project if needed for awhile and still meet the "2013" goal.

soon

adverb, soon·er, soon·est.
1. within a short period after this or that time, event, etc.
2. before long; in the near future; at an early date
3. promptly or quickly
4. readily or willingly
5. early in a period of time; before the time specified is much advanced

All this said I don't believe one year from putting up a sign (Nov 2012) to an actually opening constitutes "Coming Soon."

DS8 and DD6- We got rid of the stroller like 2 years ago and actually bought a new one for our recent trip. 4 park days, a Downtown Disney "off" day, and 2 waterpark days. The 4 park days were with the stroller full of water, snacks, first aid, Mickey ears, light up toys, camera... It is for my convenience AND the kids take turns on the 15 hour marathon that is the Magic Kingdom. I'm keeping the stroller, parking it in the way, and I will run you over if you don't get out of my way. (not you @lunchbox1175, just anyone in my way)
