One of the worst days of my life. I had planned to go out with some friends to Pulse that night, but skipped out. Fortunately they left well-before the shooting. I fell asleep early and woke up to missed calls and texts from family and friends panicked. I then saw the news and broke down in my room. I had to work at Epcot that afternoon and it was the hardest shift I ever worked because I had to put on that bright cheery Disney facade despite the fact 49 people were gunned down right up the street. But it was also one of my favorite shifts because there was as rare moment where everyone sort of felt like family, even the coworkers you didn't really care for. Everyone just came together. I remember standing outside my shop when Pooh and Friends came out to meet guests. Lord, I started tearing up. It was such a wholesome 20 minutes, just enough to take my mind off the tragedy unfolding.
