Clarification

Just for clarification . . . I can't say that the President ate at Planet Hollywood. We ate there, and the photo was taken while we were waiting for the rest of our party to arrive at our designated seating time. The President and his family/entourage headed in the direction of Bongo's, Virgin Megastore, HOB, Cirque, etc. In White House speak, I can't confirm or deny what venues the President actually visited that night. That's one reason why I started the thread, to see if anyone else out there had spotted him or knew what specific place they were headed to that night. I can't find any news reports published on the web.

This is no way polictical, I am 22 years old college student, not a politician, but with endless devestation and people dying in Asia, and a horrible war at hand, why is the leader of the free world playing in Downtown Disney? Doesn't the timing seem a bit wrong:?

No its not wrong. He also has a family. If I had the job he did I would want to spend some hoilday time at WDW with my family too. When I return from a WDW vacation I always feel recharged. Disney can be a great stress reliever.

Gee, can't we all be happy that we have a fellow Disney fan in the White House?

...and if you have to start with "This is no way political..." it usually is.:animwink:

Ohh...ok. Thanks for clearing that up. Maybe he went to Bongo's to salsa dance. LOL

Though I agree with tigger248's comment in SOME respects, it is nevertheless the wrong forum for such a posting. We have strict guidelines preventing political posts because EVERYONE knows it only descends into chaos and name calling. Besides, respect should be earned and not freely given. No matter who you are.

So you are critical about tigger248's posting, but say nothing about NTI2002's totally offtopic anti-prez post? You break you own no politics rules with your last sentence.

How so? It doesn't matter who you are; respect should be earned. It doesn't matter if you are President Bush or Joe Nobody. Respect is earned, period.

GOOD POINT!!!! Just because he is President of the US doesn't mean he can not have any time outside the west wing!!! Also, to JoeyJoe: How is the President of the US resposible for the victums in Asia? I agree that we as Americans have a responsiblity to send aid to the victums but what does going to WDW have anything to do with the victums?

You say you are a 22 years old college student? Have you ever taken a government class before? I mean seriously, just because the President is not present in the west wing doesn't mean that the operations just shut down!!! Actually, if you know anything about the US Government, it all lies with Congress to decide what type of aid will eventually be sent. At last check Congress and the President both agreed on a sum to be around 350 million dollars. And in actually, we (the US) in sending 350 million are only sending 5% of the total funds to be recieved!!!!

Now please listen to Pluto Parking

That's fantastic! Now if only I could figure out a way to go back in time and make it so I stayed in Florida an extra 24 hours... and to think, I was in the same area less than 10 hours prior to your close encounter!

Still looking for confirmation of W.'s whereabouts on the 30th.
So far I can confirm he was in Texas that morning.

Despite a press corps of approx. 100 people that follow him everywhere he goes...no sign yet of him going anywhere near Florida.

The reason why you can't find any news reports is because that was not President Bush nor any member of his family.

I think that I am going to have to agree. I just keep wondering why Mr. Bush would be dressed in a suit and tie while visiting DD if he weren't doing something "official" and was on an outing with his family. I'm sure the person who started this thread really believes what he saw but, it just doesn't add up for me.

Ok I believe . I just didn't want to doubt disneysoccerfan because he didn't have any bad intentions or false pretenses when posting the picture. He just fell for it like a lot of us did.

Some of you guys need to give it up and realize that President Bush is still our president and show a little resepect. The man deserves a vacation!!!! As for JoeyJoes comments what are you doing to help the Tsunami victims or the war on terror? Why don't you put your money where your mouth is.

Just backing you up Lee!

*Considering Lee's reputation for absolute accuracy, I don't think my backup counts for much...*
