I'd like to see a pic of Bush over at Mannequins on the dance floor...THAT would be amusing :D

It's great how easily we can share stories like this over the INTERNETS...

Following the President is probably a bad idea, but I wonder if the Secret Service takes you out for giving Bush bunny ears for a picture?

aw, man, i'm sorry. I know if I had to see the worst president this country has ever had, it would have really put a damper on my vacation. I hope it didn't rain too.

Wow that is a great story!! :)
Thanks for sharing it with us. I think it's very cool that Bush went to WDW with his family. I'm not a fan of him, but it's still cool.!

I think what I've learned most about this thread though is that Camera Phones take CRAPPY PHOTOS.!! :hurl:
That photo just made my decision to never look into buying one. I'll stick with the digital cameras minus the phone. :)

I agree with some of the other posts, I think this was a clever impersonator walking around Downtown Disney. Unless there is some reliable source of the president visiting orlando (nothing in the Sentinel that I know of), that doesnt look like Bush. Was there not a crowd surrounding him or any commotion in the area? A visiting president usually draws some kinda crowd, particularly this one. However, the Laura Bush look-a-like is spot on.

The Bush family frequents WDW and the Cruise line quite often. I guess they need a little bit of the magic every so often also.

Yet another reason why I voted correctly :)

I can see how the pic might not look like him, but it's because of the camera phone. I don't see why the original poster would make this up or be fooled into thinking these are impersonators. And just because it's the president doesn't mean it HAS to draw attention. Perhaps as many celebrities try to do, they wanted to spend some time at WDW and not draw attention to themselves.

I think some people are way too skeptical, cynical or whatever you want to call it. I'll admit I'm like that too, but I believe this one.

And thanks NTI for keeping the thread non-political . I'd give you a red dot, but it's not worth the time or energy.

Sorry...but I don't think that was him.
I've spent a couple seconds checking, and I can find no information anywhere about Governor Bush visiting the Orlando area last week.

Plus, if it was him...most of Downtown Disney would've been shut down.

Feel free to prove me wrong.....

Well according to CNN, Bush was at his ranch on this day. Regardless of whether he wanted to draw attention or not, friends of mine who work in management would have said something to me while I was down there last weekend about a president visiting WDW. Besides, the features in that picture dont match the most recent official photos. I'm not saying whom ever started the thread was trying to full anyone on the site, but perhaps had been duped themselves.

I second DDuckfan130 in Thanking you for staying non political.

I think that comment is a little uncalled for. Our president deserves respect, even if you disagree with some of his decisions.

That is SO awesome that you got a photo with the President in Disney. I would just die!! Darn those camera phones!

Note to self: Never leave home without digital rebel in case George Bush appears out of the blue.

Though I agree with tigger248's comment in SOME respects, it is nevertheless the wrong forum for such a posting. We have strict guidelines preventing political posts because EVERYONE knows it only descends into chaos and name calling. Besides, respect should be earned and not freely given. No matter who you are.

How lovely that you met someone famous at WDW. I guess whether you're the President of the USA or an average Joe, we all need a holiday!

Remember, last Thanksgiving he was safely tucked back in his bed in Crawford before any press reported that he had flown all the way to Iraq and back. It isn't easy for a president to steal away, but with a little luck, and a little shell game with the White House Press pool, one can pull it off. Especially if you have connections in the state you are visiting.

Sure looks like him to me.

True...but within hours we all knew about the Iraq trip.
If he had snuck away to WDW, it would have shown up by now in the media...at least in the Sentinel. I don't think it was him.

(Wow...I've been good! Two posts in a thread about W. and I've managed not to say anything naughty. :zipit:  :zipit: )

As much as I love Disney, a trip by the President of the United States to Iraq is news worthy, I do not need to know he ate at Bongos. We do not know what he does at all hours of the day. I do not need to know what he does at all hours of the day. I trust him as my President.

Thanks for sharing the story I wish I had been there to see him in person. My family firmly stood behind him and would have loved to share a Disney Moment with his family.
