Possible Frontierland expansion

Peter Pan doesn't need much because it always has a long line. Same for Space Mountain. If it's not broken why fix it? I'd rather have them use their money on EPCOT or one of the other parks. The only thing I think they need to do is update Buzz Lightyear. I also think the Tomorrowland theme is great. They can't feasibly have a futuristic themed land due to the need for constant updates which would drain money from other parts of the park. The Jules Verne theming I love. Maybe replace the speedway.

Back to FL, I think the expansion pad between Splash Mountain and Pirates is a great opportunity. Just move the Adventureland border down and add like a Sinbad water ride at Disney Sea or a Moana boat ride. Then another attraction could be made behind and between Splash and BTMRR forming a triangle. For further expansion, bridge the canal and add New Orleans Square or something between the Indians and BTMRR. The only problem with that is that it would have to be either a draw bridge or rotating bridge because the Liberty Belle needs to go through that canal once every few years to get to the dry dock for repairs. Just my thoughts
The other versions of Peter Pan weren't "broken" either but they still got new effects. Same with BTM. Space Mountain's track is actually close to it. Sad that they'll probably wait for a total failure to do anything about it. My only hope is that just like DL no one is on the ride when it's discovered.

How do they know the track is bad? When I go on it it seems fine but that doesn't mean much I guess...

It was the "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" attitude that caused Thunder Mountain in Disneyland to break and it killed people so not a good mentality to have. They also had to close Space Mountain for an emergency track rebuild due to letting it rot.

I guess you're correct. I wasn't saying let it rot, they need to refurbish it. It's just I don't see how those things break down and wear down so quickly. I hope they completely redo the track and add new sound to the rockets. Maybe we could also get new rockets like the ones at Disneyland to double the capacity.

I don't think they have gone quite to that extreme. I am sure you could find isolated cases that might show otherwise, but the seem to be in more of an "If it ain't broke, just maintain it" mentality.

I bring good news. The Liberty Belle has a new boiler ready for install next year. So if they're willing to invest in that plus the revenue of the ice cream parties coupled with the cost of filling in ROA and demolishing TSI, the ROA's attractions are going nowhere. They will most likely expand between Pirates and Splash or where the Splash Mountain exit is now.
If they want money on the ROA boat.. I wonder why the hell they dont offer some sort of "drinking+gourmet tapas" package onboard the ship on certain hours.

I absolutely refuse to get my hopes up about any of this. I really really (I really do!) want to but I've had the rug pulled out from under me. Look at the so-called DHS expansion. They can't even update their 20 year old shows, and before they moved Star Wars I feel like we would have gotten a heck of a lot more ...

At least we'll get SOMETHING for the 50th I suppose but I'll believe it when construction starts LOL

Obviously I trust our insiders but we know how this company operates their Florida parks.

Yeah, it seems like they can never commit, even when something is "green lit". I feel like nothing is certain until at least ground is moving and even then....

The future of TSI is still under discussion I believe.

I don't understand how they went out of their way to preserve the RoA and TSI in DL (yes, with some truncation) despite their massive land constraints there, but for MK where they have ample land all around that could easily be used they are actually considering doing anything to remove TSI.

If they really need additional space, there is a crapload on the north side of the RoA. Sure, there would need to be some modifications to use it, but it's not like any usage of the existing RoA/TSI wouldn't also require a lot of prep to make it usable for other stuff. Use the freaking "blessing of size".

It's kind of annoying that they fail to actually EXPAND. It's always about replacing something. They have land to use in Frontierland, why touch TSI when there are other concerns? I don't get it. They really want to dock that boat don't they?

And sure, at DHS, Toy Story Land is using space that wasn't guest accessible so that's actually an expansion but the net gain of rides is still poor and they're basically replacing other things with their new offerings for both Toy Story and Star Wars. Not saying I didn't find the Backlot area a waste at the end of it's run but still ....

EDIT: For example, Motor Stunt Show/Backlot Tour = the two new Star Wars rides, Jack Sparrow = Slinky Dog Dash. So in actuality, we're getting a net gain of one ride (Alien Swirling Saucers). Maybe some count it differently but attraction/ride to me doesn't matter. Again, they're replacing something for something else. Yes they'll be better but it's still replacing one for the other.
