Lee was incorrect.Lee once indicated that expansion could happen behind BATB. That was before the final design was finalized. A lot could have changed between the two versions and apparently did.
When did you last visit again?

I think Enchanted Tales with Belle is a fine attraction, and have no problem calling it that. It's not something I'd wait a long time to do, but clearly others will. I think it, in part, responds to @Master Yoda's point that on a per guest basis, meet n' greets are expensive to staff. Enchanted Tales, I suspect, pumps through people a lot faster than a typical meet n greet, but gives everybody the photo op they want in a nice setting. And it has air conditioning to boot.Yep. For an "enhanced" M&G (or walkthrough or whatever you want to consider it), ETWB is actually top notch. I don't think anyone is suggesting having a bunch of these per parks, but as the occasional experience I think it's actually quite good. Certainly a more interesting use of space than an ordinary M&G. As an adult, I find myself pretty intrigued by the experience.
IIRC, it actually won a Thea award when it opened.
Well, you know, the world don't move to the beat of just one drum. What might be right for you may not be right for some.

A 20 ft drop might make them stop and think. And the main Utilidor access road. And swampland. Is there anything stopping them from building directly North of Gaston's and Bonjour gifts?
I don't see why the Tokyo ride building couldn't go there with some minor rethink of that road.
While I do not doubt that saving cash is a factor, it is my understanding that guests in WDW actually complain about the overlays. To make matters worse, they don't appear to result in increased turnstyle spins like they do at the other parks.
TBH, I hate how HMH consumes New Orleans Square at DL. The entire land's soundtrack is replaced with NBC music, and although I have enjoyed the movie since it was first released in the 90s, I also enjoy New Orleans Square on its own merits.Anecdotally, the last winter we were at the parks, there were complaints about Jingle Cruise, which is about as light a touch as you can do for a seasonal overlay. So I have to imagine they would get a decent amount of pushback for the seasonal Haunted Mansion or Small World. I would assume they could get away with it for CBJ though...
Bears took only three days to convert. There's no reason not to do the overlay.Small World seems like it could be doable. I'd personally love HMH but I get that one not happening. But Bears and Small World?
That's false, it gets decent crowds.CBJ is so unpopular that most people won't object to an overlay.
I'm as quick to accuse Disney of cheapness as anyone, but don't think that's the reason here. Doing the overlay on that and Small World causes regular down time both before the holiday season and after. They are more tolerant of it at DLR where so many of the guests are repeat visitors. Regular down time on an attraction at WDW is a bigger deal since so many of those guests can't just catch it again on their next trip. The Small World Holiday and CBJ Holiday Editions are both charming, and while I do love the Nightmare Before Christmas overlay on the Haunted Mansion, it might be too much... but there is no reason except for cheapness, that they can't do the others....
You could solve that if it was moved to Epcot...Actually a bigger reason on Small World is the limited Queue space as well...a Holiday version would have max capacity crowds...Far more than that area could handle... there really is no reason except for cheapness for leaving off the CBJ Holiday show...
I agree...
Not likely with current Disney leadership, but yes it would create a beautiful thematic bridge and allow the Princesses more space in Fantasyland where they belong...
CBJ is so popular that the show closed in Disneyland back in 2001. In 2012 the WDW CBJ was shortened by five minutes in order to hopefully boost attendance. Unfortunately, it didn't work. They really need to rework the show. Perhaps the CBJ rap battle will be next. That's false, it gets decent crowds.

That may be part of the "50 new things for the 50th".Aren't they including Disney characters in It's A Small World in time for their upcoming anniversary, just like how Disneyland has Disney characters in their Small World attraction?
