I would definitely disagree that India would be a stronger connection, either historically or culturally given the relationship of the countries. Australia would be an equal, but they'd probably just make it an outback-dingo-kangaroo fiesta which wouldn't flow as nicely.
England ruled over India for 200 years and of course trading helped fuel the British empire. Obviously culturally it's different then the other countries but they still have cultural influences from that time.

Yes, as a PhD of British history I'm quite aware of the past and their one-time connection. But to say their occupation and then expulsion from an ancient civilization is a "stronger" historical connection than one of the dominions they developed and are still, to a degree, constitutionally entangled is... disagreeable.

I don't think I need to elaborate further. Though I agree India would make a great addition to WS.

When it comes to EPCOT, Rat/BatB should not be one of the 50th offerings. In EPCOT, expect a not GotG FW and not Rat WS project. AK will still get things, but by far the short end of the stick (as long as a certain proposal doesn't get through). HS will get a few things non TSL/ SWE. And Mk will get the bulk.

So a refurbished Future World pavilion & the rumored Brazil pavilion in World Showcase?

Two words: Russia!

In light of the current political climate there is no way Russia is ever built as long as Putin is in power.

Back on the topic of Ratatouille: The Adventure coming to France.. Using @MisterPenguin layered image, you can see that the gondola will pass directly over this ride building if it is to be built behind the France Pavilion as discussed earlier in the thread. I flipped the building for this illustration, but you get the idea.

Something else I notice looking at these images. They will have to theme/clean up quite a bit of backstage WS that will be visible from the gondola cabs

With all that may be happening at Epcot, is there a chance of a new festival joining the line up that would be based on any new lands/attractions? I know there isnt much room in the calander but if there is a way to squeeze one in, Im sure they will. FYI, I wouldnt be against it.
new festival?!!:mad: they don't have anymore time as it is. Epcot has one after another now.

While there certainly isn't calendar time to add another, you do realize that the festivals fit in with the World Showcase theme very well, don't you?
of course but the way Disney is handling Food and Wine and now the holiday one it's going to go from August until January at this point. Then you have flower one then you now have the Art one.

And that's a problem, why? We love the festivals, and make it to both F&W and F&G every year. We missed the Art Festival this year, but if they continue it, we'll definitely be trying to add that one in.

That is better than what I had heard; RAT is being considered a 50th offering with, as you say, another WS project. This is not, to what I was told, a new country but rather an attraction in an existing country. I believe what you are saying is that FW will also get a non GOTG for the 50th and another WS project over and above RAT. For HS, as I mentioned in another thread, I had heard one of the offerings may be a water ride. AK, may actually get a fairly large dose, unless that certain proposal is what you are talking about. With the already newish Pandora I would be very surprised if they go through with this by the 50th. I tend to think it will be something very welcome but on not such a scale? I have only heard of one potential new thing for MK for the 50th ride wise, but the park would benefit from a lot of plussing in a lot of areas. While this will be GREAT come 2021, there will be a lot of disappointed MK guests in 2019 and 2020 due to the high number of closures. That is why having the other parks complete offerings ahead of this it vital. Pandora, TSL, SWL, and EPCOT will need to carry the load. . .

It's a problem because they have gotten out of hand. The value at F&W has gone down hill compared to when it first started. While the experience is not as pleasurable because you have more and more people coming and more lines to wait in. I get it it's an ATM for Disney. They keep charging more each year and making the beers smaller because people keep coming.
