The Norwary M&G and World Showplace could both be taken out if it was worth it.

That ain't happening for decades and decades.

1. There are plenty of pads and only one rumored new national pavilion within 5 years. So, there isn't any 'need' to free up space.

2. Wishing something away that one doesn't like is not related to reality at all. There are plenty of rumors based on wishes, let's not start a new one.

Even when Frozen's popularity diminishes a bit (which probably won't happen for quite a few years- case in point, Little Mermaid & Beauty and the Beast), there's no need to demolish the Sommerhus (spelling?). I'm not sure how it could work (I know there are 3 or 4 M&G rooms in that building, idk how they're connected though), but Disney could probably just move the princesses from Akerhaus into the Sommerhus if they wanted, and turn Akerhaus into a signature restaurant like Le Cellier to make up for any money lost.

This almost isn't even worth a response.

If you had actually read my post, ya know, the part you didn't quote, I was speaking to far in the future when something like this would happen. Here's the verbatim quote: "by the time we get to the point where they may NEED those spots, a M&G location will likely be incredibly disposable"

That's not starting rumors, that's fact.

Frozen's popularity won't diminish for quite some time. I mean, we're likely looking at a sequel or two, then a Broadway show, several years of milking video releases, possibly a TV show, and then the inevitable live-action movie. This isn't random stuff pulled from thin air, just following the MO that Disney has used with animated movies this decade. Gotta wring every possible penny out of an IP and what not.

And don't give them any ideas about Akershus!!! :p It'll probably become like Le Cellier now, a two-credit restaurant that isn't worth one credit anymore.

No matter what some people on these boards say, Frozen is not going away. I really think it's on par with Little Mermaid, Beauty & the Beast, Aladdin, and Lion King in terms of it's staying power. Is it perfect? No (where are the other female characters??? Why did they all get cut minus the sisters???), but the others that I mentioned had their flaws too. They're all over 20 years old now (cue me feeling very old  ), and they all have a massive presence in the parks.

That said, I miss the days where I could eat at Akershus without it being a character breakfast. I had one of the best Easter meals of my life there as a kid. :(

People typically have a built-in bias against recent things. Folks don't accept that Anna and Elsa are part of the canon now. In 2040, little girls won't know that Cinderella, Ariel, and Elsa don't "go together." The films of today are the classics of tomorrow.

Depends how much they're willing to spend.
Having worked in this corridor and been backstage there, the only thing I can see costing a lot of money is if they were to move the emergency exit road and change the entire BOH set-up for France. Or even more clever design-wise, build the ride OVER the BOH area (seeing as it slopes down).

I'm definitely hoping that the rumors of Star Wars already being over budget eating into some of the IPCot changes.
Let's flag this post for future reference. It's not always the finance guys cutting budgets. Sometimes a budget stays the same but the creative guys go insane with spending and things end up getting cut.

Sorry... how much they're willing to spend will mean how much space is needed in all of showcase.

Aladdin is not set in Morocco. That would be ten times worse than Frozen. Arendelle is a fictional place that kind of feels Norwegian-ish. Agrabah is not in Morocco, period.

Hmm... I'm trying to say this a politically correctly as possible... I don't think WDW wants to screw up its sole representation of a Muslim nation with jamming an Aladdin ride in there. I know the nation of Morocco itself likes America / WDW but I don't think Disney wants to step a toe in an area that might cause offense to someone somewhere. Aladdin probably something best left in Adventureland/Studios.

From Disney's description of the Jasmine meet-and-greet:

"Pay a visit to Princess Jasmine in her home-away-from-home, a land where the camels roam.

Listen along as she shares tales from her desert days and “Arabian Nights.” While you snap an unforgettable photo, perhaps she’ll inspire you to explore the Morocco Pavilion—a locale similar in many ways to her native Agrabah."

Does this already exist? Or are you predicting something? I wasn't aware that there is a meet and greet at the Morocco pavilion.
