Back on the topic of Ratatouille: The Adventure coming to France.. Using @MisterPenguin layered image, you can see that the gondola will pass directly over this ride building if it is to be built behind the France Pavilion as discussed earlier in the thread. I flipped the building for this illustration, but you get the idea.

Something else I notice looking at these images. They will have to theme/clean up quite a bit of backstage WS that will be visible from the gondola cabs

Not fully.

Maybe.
I tweaked the above graphic a little. Could it end up being something like this (still towards the back, but deeper into the expansion area)?

If you can't clarify further, that's fine :)

Also there is this option of setting the building back and hiding it behind the trees. Leaves almost half the pad for something down the road.

^ not exact dimensions but you get the idea

Do we know for sure that it's to be an exact clone, instead of what is essentially the same ride but with some minor differences? Because the floor plans could be modified if the latter and it might not be the same puzzle that's trying to be figured out now.
What has been said is that the ride building itself and the inside queue is whats to be built. If you look at the whole blueprints of the Paris Rat ride the restaurant is built out infront of the ride, with a side queue line. @P_Radden I think your second layout looks good, I would which the entrance and exit though (personally I'd rather exit with ice cream in hand) :)

When it comes to EPCOT, Rat/BatB should not be one of the 50th offerings. In EPCOT, expect a not GotG FW and not Rat WS project. AK will still get things, but by far the short end of the stick (as long as a certain proposal doesn't get through). HS will get a few things non TSL/ SWE. And Mk will get the bulk.
Does this mean that Rat/BatB and GotG are off the table for Epcot entirely?

Good job it's planned to go elsewhere then.

Well, I was gonna say that they could still put the ride behind the France pavilion and simply have the Skyway travel over the show building (though perhaps it would need to be lower by that point to land properly at the destination).

But this info is... unfortunate. It sounds like this means that Ratatouille is destined to take up at least part of the expansion pad between Morocco and France, which limits potential future use. Not the end of the world given the number of other expansion sites, but do this enough times (already done with the Norway M&G and arguably World Showplace) and you run out of space when you might need it.

They need to get to work soon on a lot of this stuff no? It would make sense, given their construction timelines, they started next year and announce the projects at D23 Expo this year.

The Norwary M&G and World Showplace could both be taken out if it was worth it. And by the time we get to the point where they may NEED those spots, a M&G location will likely be incredibly disposable.
