Doesn't Aladdin take place in Iraq?
Technically, it's like Frozen. Made up country (Agrabah) based on an actual country. I know that other people have their theories, but I agree with you about Iraq. The Thief and the Cobbler specifically takes place in Baghdad, and Aladdin ripped a lot from that movie, including some architectural design, which is why I've always leaned to the Iraq area for Aladdin.

The M&G in Morocco states that Jasmine and Aladdin are only visiting, but if an Egyptian pavilion ever came to be, the M&G would be a better fit there.

Let me start by saying that it would be a horrible fit in Epcot. Like sure, there are moments of discovery and awe, but to paraphrase Dr. Henry Jones- "It belongs in Hollywood Studios!" Also, Egypt, like Morocco, is also in Northern Africa, and I would rather Epcot go with an equitorial or southern African country first.

But like I said, if Iger & Co are so focused on putting an IP in every country, new or old, and disregard the obvious need for it at Hollywood Studios (or even Adventureland at Magic Kingdom), the only IP that they have that's related to Egypt is Indiana Jones.

Actually, I take that back. Aladdin & Jasmine briefly visit Egypt during 'A Whole New World'... which would actually be a better M&G area for them than Morocco.
I think its pretty safe to say and Indiana Jones attraction will be at DHS.

And while we're at it, let's get rid of Alice and Pooh from the UK. Hundred Aker Wood and Wonderland are not real places in the UK. It doesn't matter the author intended them to be set in England, it's all fictional. A stuffed bear with an eating disorder representing England is not what Epcot is all about.

Now, Mary Poppins... that was set in London featuring London landmarks. The UK pavilion should be awash in Poppins and Berts and bankers and bird ladies and dancing penguins.

Actually that would be quite lovely...
At Madame Tussaud's in London they installed a dark ride into the footprint of the old original building that chronicals British History... Now it is not the best ride, but there are moments of brilliance, Imagine what Disney could do with the same sort of idea, with a purpose built show building... Could be amazing really... and add Mary, Mr Toad, Alice and Winnie to the Finale...

If you're including Winnie and Alice (who have attractions at MK), don't forget about Peter Pan. And 101 Dalmatians, Robin Hood, Brave, and the Sword in the Stone. And technically Pocahontas (that's where the movie begins with John Smith & Co.).

That finale with the carousel was giving me El Rio de Tiempo flashbacks.

I once rode on something a lot like that, but kinda lamer, the Jorvik Viking museum in York, England. I rode in the 90's before it received some updating as seen in this video.

The weirdest thing about it though is that it's built on an archaeological viking village site, and a lot of ancient, rotting wood is down there, and the ventilation was awful. As we crept... crept... crept through time, I had to hold my breath as the smell was making me nauseous.

I think it's been updated again since, I'm not sure.

They pump bad smells in as part of the attraction Soar'in style but instead of oranges you get human urine and rotting flesh

Speaking as someone who is extremely passionate about travel, cultures, and geography, please just hear me out for a moment.

On my son's 4th birthday I gifted him with a subscription to something called Little Passports. We're still going strong on it today. Here's what it is-
The first package arrives with a blue suitcase, world map, "passport", a few other items, and a postcard from "Sam and Sophia". Sam and Sophia travel around the world on their Vespa and once per month send a package from the current country they are visiting. That package contains a postcard highlighting the country's flag, bird, flower etc..info about them as well..a sticker to place on his map in the correct location and continent, some kind of souvenir relating to the country i.e. Amethyst from Brazil, a "stamp" for his passport, and a few worksheets and games pertaining to the country, words to learn from the language, as well as a photo of them on their Vespa with a national landmark in the background.

Sam and Sophia are obviously completely fictional characters and it is completely unrealistic to travel the world on a moped, not to mention that these are 2 children traveling alone.
Could I have done the same type of lessons without them? Sure. Do they make the learning more interesting? Heck yes!

Do kids need cartoons to learn? Nope.
Do cartoons or fictional characters make learning more relatable and fun? Yes.

I don't think that's not giving kid's credit or dumbing them down. I think that's just making things fun for them. Imagination is an important part of life. Imagination and learning together- again, no downside that I can see.
Cheaper than actually going there, I guess...
