Sand bottom=StormAlongBay at YC. IF you are staying at OKW you could be DVC members which allows pool hopping but now that excludes SAB since the BCV are opening.

POOLS

I HAVE WORKED AT THE BOARDWALK AND WE ARE INSTRUCTYED TO GO AROUND CHECKING ID'S AND IF YOU DONT HAVE YOUR ID WE CAN GO INTO COMMUNITY HALL AND PULL UP YOUR NAME.
SO DONT EVEN TRY IT UNLESS OF COURSE YOU WANNA BE EMBARRESSED

I've never been questioned. A word to the wise though - don't bring anything with you but you wallet, a towel, and suncreen if you don't want to be questioned.

As someone said, sister resorts only. If you stay at an All Star resort, you can go in any of the AS pools.

The other sister resorts are Port Orleans French Quarter and Port Orleans Riverside.

well were going down the last week in august....

Kids are back in school....but it's still hot...we were pretty much spending the week days at the theme parks...

and we have no options on our passes....plus of we do go buy a ticket it would have to be for that sunday....and we figured it would be mobbed there.......especially if its hot and the kids can't go to the waterparks on weekdays....

but...we'll have to see...if the heat gets unbarable well have to invest in a day at BB or TL on that friday...we actually haven't been in the water parks in a while....

So you bought single tickets to each park?!?

If you have a park hopper, you can go to the waterparks for part of the day. End of August isn't that crowded from what they say here, though I've never been.

No...two of us have annual passes...the one with just admission to the theme parks

the other 4 have the park hopper tickets...but they don't get the two options....

so its a pain....we have old passes..with like one option left...we might see if we can use that to get in....

Exactly...

You have to know what your doing.

You go in with your bathing suit on, and a shirt, use their towels(unless they really have finally cracked down and have CM's handing them out, but I doubt that).

Stormalong Bay is too crowded nowadays, I just hop to the MK resorts pools and maybe AKL.

PLUS, I usually pool hop during the night....

Heading for the great escape.
I still find it strange that if youre paying to use facilities ie bar resturaunt that you cant use the pool, most places ive been (especially around the Med and Adriatic) just want bums on seats parting with cash and if a dip in the pools the carrot so be it.
Please note im excluding London in this as they have a policy to help maintain their position as rip off capital of the world.

From what I understand, DVC members can still go anywhere but the Yaht and Beach Club.

yeah, pool hopping is fun, but I can understand why they might want to check ID's. After all, it does get really crowded, and there are only so many lifeguards to go around. and you are paying for the use of a pool at your resort.

try being a lifeguard and watch 100 people in your small area, and see if you can watch each and every one. it is really tough. Overcrowding is the worst thing for a lifeguard, bc it puts people at risk.

though, pool hopping early in the morning when it is not crowded, or during less crowded times of the year is pretty ok.

The only time we pool hopped was about 4 years ago on our last day. We went to the Boardwalk and swam at that pool; very fun if I may add:D . The only reason we did it was because it was our last day and we wanted to swim, but we had already left the Carribean Beach. I doubt we would have done it in any other circumstance.

Very Good Point!

At almost every pool hop of mine involves lunch or dinner at the resort's snack bar or a refreshment at the pool bar.

does the last week in august count as low attendence time.....

I don't want u to think I'm obssessed with this Y&BC pool thing....

I'd just rather get a free ride in a "knock off water park" than actually pay to have to use one.....although I did do some research on OPR at the CB..and it doesn't look to bad...also I like the fact the every cluster at the CB pretty much has its on pool...

I am a life guard as well....and I hate nothing more than having to watch an extreme amount of little kids running around and swimming....

I agree on...

I guess they want u paying for th whole 9 yards....
