I would think that if you were discreet about it, there's no way anyone could tell you weren't staying at that resort. I may be wrong, but I just don't know how they could tell, especially if you stay away from the main buildings and use the outlying bus stops.

Besides from the y&bc what other pools are worth hopping to when you have one at your hotel. They all serve the same purpace, cooling you off on a hot day.

P.S 100th post :) :sohappy:

Pool hopping is not allowed.

Pool hopping is not allowed.

Resort CMs have begun checking resort ID and will escort non-guests from the pools.

At Y&BC, the most popular pool, they issue wrist bands to guests to discourage exactly what you are proposing.

It is a matter of fairness and pool capacity. You are at the CB, a moderate hotel, for which you are paying somewhere around $150/night. Rooms at the YC start at $320 (regular season, rack rate).

Put yourself in the place of the person paying $320 for a room. You expect a bigger room, fancier restaurants, and a nicer pool. You do NOT want "your" pool crowded with people who are unwilling to pay premuim prices for a room.

The pools are CB are not shabby--they are lots of fun.

Yes, you might get away with it. But you also might be asked to leave. If you are travelling with children, consider the message you are giving them and the embarrassment of the whole scene.

Thing is, the Y&BC poll is unlikely to be less crowded than the CBR pool because it is the pool for both the Y&BC resorts and the new Beach Club Villas. It serves quite a few rooms.

Sorry this isn't the answer you want to hear....

Boy...that sounds like a load of crap if I've ever heard it.....

"I can afford more, so I don't want to associate with YOUR kind."

That's the translation I'm reading. I'm going to poolhop like crazy then. There is no reason that you should feel looked down upon, just because your hotel isn't as nice.

I don´t think I agree on pool hopping either... it sure sounds fun and would be very nice to do it, but what if everybody decides to pool hop to ONE cool pool? That one would be crowded for no reason... I don´t think I would do it for the simple reason of not having my own room nearby to change clothes or to charge things to my room. Not for anything else... :animwink:

I only thought u could due that...because so many people say to go explore the resorts on property.....

thats fine of they advise against it...and it was only a suggestion...the Y&BC pool was the next best thing to the water parks.....

I can understand it more if I was a non-disney guest.....then I would understand that!

given I'm not staying at a deluxe resort.....but just because I don't have an extra grand to spend on the place where I'll spend the least amount of my time...doesn't mean I should be less favored.....

Heading for the great escape.
How does checking your resort ID indicate which hotel resort your in. Unless they scan the thing or is there a code amongst the letters on the card?
Well ill still let my kids use the pool in FQ when were at riverside
They prefered the quiet pools anyway to be honest.
Most continental hotels let you use their pools if you eat or drink there.

Bottom Line...

Pool hopping is against the rules.

I have seen Guests ID's checked at the pools.

It looks embarrassing to me to be escorted off Resort property.

I have read on these boards about people bragging about pool-hopping at WDW Resorts when they stay off property.

This isn't about people saying they are BETTER than other people...it's about RULES.

You stay at the Beach Club...you swim in the Beach Club pool...you stay at an All Star Resort...you swim in the All Star pool.

If you stayed at a Motel 6 should you be allowed to swim in the pool at the Holiday Inn down the street just because it's bigger and better?
They would throw you out in a heartbeat if you tried.

If you want to swim at a differant resort...save your pennies and stay there...don't try and cheat the system...it's just wrong .

Darn I was reading the thread about Britney Spears's in the chit-chat area and I missed fighting with all of you.

I just have to say if you pay to stay at WDW it should not matter what pool you choose. So what if you have not noticed everyone pool hops.

I know I am gonna get a response, "I dont pool hop". So save your fingers.

I pool hop, love it, and will keep doing it, so GET OVER IT!!!

The Post Above ya Answers your ques.

I do agree that Pool Hopping is unfair.
Whats the difference between the CBR and Yacht and Beach, they both have slides, water is water.

When I was at the Contemprorary Tower Club in April they were checking IDs like Crazy, and I saw quite a few people get walked out to the monorails or bus station. Why embarass yourself?
