I have never seen her out and about in the parks, but I did get to see her at the princess breakfast in Akershus. She was wearing her blue dress at this one.

My DD2.5 LOVES Aurora! The only movies we ever watch are Sleeping Beauty and Mary Poppins!
Maybe Aurora needs a better PR person. I mean, she has THREE names (Aurora, Briar Rose and Sleeping Beauty) which can be confusing. Not to mention, BELLE came along and kind of 'adopted' the whole "Beauty" terminology thing as well. (It made DH's head spin to know that Sleeping Beauty and Beauty and the Beast were two different entities. He thought it was a sequel!:ROFLOL: ) Of course, the two year old can keep it all straight, but the 37 year old cannot! :lol: If Aurora got better management, her career could really take off again. :animwink: :lol: :ROFLOL:
On a side note, where was she with Prince Phillip? DD kinda crushes on him!:king: (Nevermind--it was posted while I was typing this!) Thanks!

Cinderella has a ride? A castle, yes, but a ride, no. Anyway, I have always had a crush on Aurora, ever since I was a wee lil' lad. Poor girl is overlooked in the 'World', but at least the villain of her tale, the legendary Maleficent, is heavily present throughout the parks, parades, etc. The Evil Queen is also a prominent villain figure around the parks. Each and every time I’ve met her has been a unique, ‘vilifying” experience! :king:

I had never seen her before our last trip in May. I was really hoping I'd get a chance to, since she's my favorite. And once we got there, it was almost like a running joke that wherever we went, we'd bump into her... Maybe we lucked out? :shrug:
I have pictures of her from the first two locations I mentioned. Those were the only two I took pictures of. I'll try to remember to post them this evening.
I'm pretty sure she always makes appearances in France in Epcot - along with Marie the cat. I would venture to say your best bet is to find out when she's there and plan on that.

that's a great shot!!! My goal for the next trip is to meet the evil queen...is there any way to meet maleficnet? Or is she only in the parades?

Thanks, I had never seen either of these two at a meet & greet until this year so who knows... so far I have only seen her in parades/shows.

Yeah, I was going to mention that! Went to it with my DD our last trip. Diffently a once in a life time experiance because of the price, but I have to say it was the best I character meal ever.
Also I thik Meleficent is the best ever! He scene in Fantasmic is the reason I go to the show everytime I'm down there.
I would love to see her have her own ride. I don't think there is even one in DL is there?

RE the photo of Aurora and the Evil Queen from Snow White: Training day. The teardrop in ToonTown is used for training day. Sometimes Maleficent is there. A few days ago it was Meeko, Big Al, and Stitch. Yesterday or the day before it was Rafiki, Big Al & I forgot the other. I love training day. Training day is not predictable however.

True, she isn't in WDW much, but she's represented in other parks more than snow white and Cinderella.

I hadn't thought of it that way, but you are right she is totally the best for all those reasons
Also, to the above post, I didn't realize she was so prevelant in other parks, does she have an attraction in any of them? Other than the castles?

i wonder the same thing everytime! i just don't get it. i can never notice how cute her outfit is with the heels or anything because i'm floored by the fact that a girl would wear heels to a park! craziness! i just don't get it....

I think the girl in the heels is a Disney cast member. As someone else said this was a training day and when I was lucky enough to catch a training day at MGM there was a Disney cast member dressed in business clothes (not an attendant) just making sure everything went smoothly. But you do sometimes see crazy women that wear heels in the park. I think they have issues cause even wearing sneakers your feet get tired, lol
