Pizza flyer scam still happening in the Orlando area

It makes sense for honest pizza places to advertise in hotels, so I thought nothing of it when I got a flyer. I called, they took the order and then asked for my card number. I said I was paying cash. They said they only took cards, which set off a million red flags, so I hung up and we went to the food court.

Had I not been a cash-paying kind of girl, they'd have got me. I never thought "scam" until they said they didn't take cash.

I'm not the brightest person in the world (or the state...or city...or in the room, sometimes), but am not a complete moron.

I hope people who get scammed don't feel too dumb. :)

Well Luckily you were smart enough not to be scammed. I never order the local pizza from anywhere I go.

My point is that I was dumb enough to be scammed. :) I never thought "scam" until they said they didn't take cash. Even then, I didn't think it through, lol. I just knew something was up with that and I didn't want to get involved.

If I didn't pay cash for things, I'd totally have given them the card number.

I still order pizza from new places, at home and out of town. I just pay cash. :)

Of course its a scam! You just cant get good pizza around Orlando.

(However, if youre in Tampa.... I highly recommend Precinct Pizza. Near the St Pete Times Forum)

I don't know, I rather enjoy Flippers, though more for their breadsticks than pizza, but the pizza is pretty good. I will try to check out the Tampa place next time I'm over there, though.

All takes is a little bit of creativity to get past a security guard. I mean if "professional" women can do it, i'm sure the pizza flyer guys have no trouble.

Ok, I HAVE to ask...does WDW have an issue with, uh, professional women plying their trade at the resorts and/or bars and restaurants? I would not be shocked just about anywhere else, but it has never occurred to me they would be at WDW. I guess b/c I think of the whole area as mostly family oriented.

Yes.

When they're discovered, they are trespassed. I saw quite a few in the lobby of the dolphin during the baseball winter meetings.

I was raised on East of Chicago, so it can only get better from there. I do try to get out and try local pizza places, but having family that will basically only eat at chains really stifles one's shot at trying new food choices.

Well, put in the appropriate context, that's completely understandable.

Not sure how a hooker is any different than lifestyler bloggers soliciting their websites in the park.

Both are running competing businesses...and I'm pretty sure prostitution isn't a felony
Seriously? You are going to argue the difference between prostitution and Disney lifestylers?

The majority of lifestylers are not really a competing business. They range from parasitic to symbiotic. The only thing close to competing would be when they start charging for tours. In that case Disney can do what they please.

Third offence prostitution can result in a 3rd degree felony in the state of Florida.

Prostitutes at Disney? Do they do a Princess theme? What about male escorts? Can someone order in a Prince Charming or a Gaston?

Things I never thought about before I came to this site....

Never would have thought about pizza scams, and definitely did not consider prostitutes!!
