Just got my 40% off in the mail. I'm so excited, I can hardly contain myself. Gonna book our December trip right away!!! Congrats to those who receive them. Have fun!!!
I've never received any pins by mail or email. Anyone know how they decide who to send them to?
For the past few years I've always had a trip booked. I wonder if that has anything to do with it. Maybe now that I do not have a trip booked I'll get one.
My DH and I both received the pin # e-mail offers today. We got 2 different #s, although we've always traveled together. We're Annual Passholders, and we've made 2 trips in 2008, but don't have another one booked (yet!). We both subscribe to the on-line newsletters, have Chase VISA cards, and have visited several times a year for the last 4 years, and have received quite a few of these, but I'm not sure what really prompts the offer. This is the e-mail with the name and # struck out:
****** Family,
there's so much in life worth celebrating, let's start with the price.
When you think about it, there’s so much in life worth celebrating. Birthdays. Anniversaries. Reunions. Personal Triumphs. Every one deserves to be wrapped in magic. During 2009, the Walt Disney World® Resort will make it easier for you to magnify any celebration in wonderful Disney style.
As a Passholder, you’ll find special events and great attractions taking place during every one of these nine magical times! And because you can come and go as you please, these times are when you could enjoy the Disney experience most!
To take advantage of this great offer, make sure you book by March 31, 2009. Hurry! At this rate rooms will book up fast! Call 407-939-7797 or your Travel Agent today! Be ready with your PIN: ***** ***** *****.
These are e-mail links, but you should be able to subscribe through the Disney On-Line website.
Sometimes these PINs are not that great a deal, especially if you have an AP and can frequently get rates as good with those discounts. Also, when the PINs are for a package, we usually don't consider them. Our experience has been that they're rarely as good as purchasing room only and the other components separately, and we like the cancellation policy better for non-package reservations, since my elderly father-in-law is in very poor health.
I am still confused on how different people get different discounts..we have been 5 times, but missed the last 2 years...I get daily / weekly emails from different WDW sites including the Disney Insider..that's weird..I want to save money ..come on Oh Great Deciders of Coupons..I have to spend the week with my INLAWS !!! :zipit: At least make it a little less painful on my pocketbook !!!!!!
It appears that these discounts are for Annual passholders only, not a general pin code. Please correct me if I am wrong. The thread is a little confusing.
AAARRRGGGHHH!!!! Once again denied to be part of "THAT" group...No pins in my email..*sigh* Guess i will have to pay full price to spend the week with my INLAWS !!! YAY !!!
