PIN code

Got a PIN e-mail yesterday and was not able to use if for a trip later this month and into Feb. (All rooms booked for this rate?) So much for a slow first quarter and lack of on-site resort reservations. They appear to be at a high occupancy through much of Feb. :brick: This PIN does not appear to be an extra special deal anyway, unless you use it for later in the year when there is plenty of availablity. The CM on the phone kept referring to it as the "passholder discount". Actually, I would be better off with the passholder discount at 44% off for the dates I wanted, compared to only 40% off with the PIN code offer. (I am not sure how you get these codes; and this is my first, but the CM told me that she could see that I had been there over 21 times and welcomed me back) :p
It appears the PIN code is applying a "passholder discount" for the dates listed courtesy of faeryhollow. The best advantage I see to using the PIN offer is you can book a trip prior to any other discount releases (Disney Visa, passholder, Florida resident, etc...) If your dates are available, it is a good deal. For anyone not receiving the PIN code now, don't worry, the passholder rate will be the same when released.

So why does Mickey hate meeeee soo much ??? Sniff Sniff Sniff :cry::cry:

lol. I don't know how we were able to get a rep so quickly. I would just call and wait as long as you can. Then again we did call in the morning, when most people are probably at work. Try that or maybe try real late at night.
As far as the pin code, I don't know how they determine who gets one or not. I know we're signed up with a lot of stuff for Disney, so maybe that 'll make a difference. I hope you can get your reservations made soon.

i never get any pin emails sniff sniff

well we actually got 1 pin offer in the mail some 10 or 12 years ago but that has been it and we have been to disneyworld more than just a few times LOL... :ROFLOL:

so after more than 100 trips and being annual passholders for more years than i can recall and suscribing to and registering to just about everything disney there is i have no idea at all what consititues getting a PIN....

now with that said i will point out that the latest AP discount available through april 2nd or 4th is for about 45 percent off... so someone or several someones have mentioned previous to my post that frequently the AP room only discount is better than the PIN.... but still it would be nice to get one and have the option of deciding...

just my 2 cents worth :veryconfu

I got an email pin yesterday. I was so excited until I saw that it didn't cover the time we are going to be there. I can't adjust my dates either because it is a famiy reunion and the dates are set in stone. I feel lucky to get one and sad all at the same time.

I don't know why several people keep referring to the AP discount. Not everybody is an annual passholder. If you are and the AP discount is better than this 40%, then great!!! If you're not an AP holder, like me, this 40% offer is great. I mean $300.00 for 4 of us at Pop for a week!!! I'd be crazy not to jump on that!

I got 1 on Monday I believe it was. BUT it was an AP discount only (which we have). But Disney is releasing more and more due to downturn. Good for us lovers but to bad econ had to go south to do it.:(

I thought it was a passholder only discount because someone posted a letter they received that mentioned it was for passholders(first page of this thread). Hence the confusion. But glad to hear its for everyone. Still hoping for a 4/3 deal for the fall. :sohappy:

I saw someone mention on here earlier that we should call and ask if there is a pin scheduled for our address...what exactly does "pin" stand for or will the cm know ? Also is that somethign i could ask the live talk operator ?

not only did the pin code save me money, it also let me not buy a one day ticket. usually when i call i'm told i can have a discount or i can choose not to buy the ticket, but i can't have both, until this code. and when the email was sent to me it specifically recognized me being a passholder, so maybe that had something to do with me getting one.
