How was the taste? What did it cost? Very pretty cake! I bet Mom loved it!

Kellie it was SO GOOD!! The icing wasn't too sweet at all and the cake was moist and perfect. I thought it would be upwards of $50-60 but it was only $30.

It wasn't quite as I envisioned it, but she loved it. It was a lemon cake with buttercream filling...Gf bakery.

I'll be doing another cake (Contemporary bakery) this November, but I'm having such a hard time with theme. It's for DD3's 4th bday. Pooh is #1, but they can't do Pooh cakes...Ariel is # 2, but the only topper option that I like is the sandcastle topper and I'm not dropping $165 on just the topper...beyond that Mickey, Cinderella, Tinkerbell, and Donald are the runners up. While I designed a fabulous Cindy cake and a super cute Donald cake- they are on the out right now and I refuse to do Tink she's already had a TInk cake...so that leaves Mickey. It's really tough when these things are surprises. [/url]

How many days in advance do you have to order these cakes? And is there a number to call? And maybe a list of options? I am going with my parents in September to celebrate my mom's 50th birthday so I want to make it extra special!

Some recent cake talk over on the trip planning thread made me realize that I never added DD4s bday cake to this cake thread.




Chocolate cake with cream cheese AND raspberry mousse filling + chocolate buttercream. Wish I had some now! NomNomNom!
