It's a decent ride. My husband can't take the spinning though. Sometimes I ride the orange by myself. My one little fellow like to ride the orange w/ me sometimes.;) Well, it all needs a bit of a refurb if you ask me.;) How long will this take? Just curious...

Wish they'd refurb the inside to something new... :)

Everyone I know personally who's been on M:S did it once and never again because they all came off the ride completely nauseated.

the ride without G forces is useless...you can watch NASA footage at home and save your money...the ride is epic because of the G forces.....period. end of argument nuff said. i would use choice words for the people who even ride it without the G forces but im not that rude. =)

I really like Mission Space. It's not necessarily a must-do if I'm pressed for time, but I really enjoy it. I agree with everyone else and I think that the ride video needs a bit of an update. Something along the lines of what Uni did with Spider-Man.

I've already addressed this if you read back.

I guess I didn't really take notice since I hadn't been to Epcot since 1999-2000.

You haven't been in over 12 years - but you wanted to throw out there you questioned why this was needed?

Would it be possible for Mission: SPACE to use similar technology to the Hogwarts Express windows?

Or would that, combined with the G-Forces, just make everyone sick? (I'm sure that I read here that Universal were having to play around with the Hogwarts Express windows so that they wouldn't make people sick - were they too realistic? - so add that to G-Forces and even more people would be sick?)

I don't get nauseated but I get anxious being shut up in a tiny box with the potential that my crewmates will blow chunks while the ride is operating. First time I rode it I had a panic attack as soon as I saw the "air" sickness bags.

The ride itself is neat, although the graphics haven't aged well.

Good point. The graphics should be updated.

I think there is confusion here. Openededsky means 'hadn't been since 1999-2000...until I returned recently'.

If twelve years ago was the time of last visit, he wouldn't have seen M:S looking fine, he wouldn't have seen it altogether - the area then was still a sinkhole that had just gobbled up Horizons.

Yup, in 2003. DW and I felt like we were about throw up as we got off. Haven't been on it since. Not something I wanted to chance and experience again, even on the tamer side they have now. I'm a chicken like that

I consider myself a big chicken too when it comes to stuff like this, but trust me, the tamer Green Team experience is well worth doing. I ride every visit.

Nothing to be nervous about...it is actually very similar to a motion-simulator attraction. NO spinning sensations...no G-force sensations. Think Star Tours, but with some additonal fun interactive elements ( the blast off is fun !) Green Team is a great way to get yourself warmed up to Orange...when you are ready to move in that direction again.

Give it a try next time...i think you will come off feeling better about M:S....literally and figuratively !

:)
