Thanks Scott for the pics

I am really interested in those holes in the tents, they seem very large to be just footings for support. Cant wait for my trip in April!

Anyone notice how big the building is for the dumbo rides. Did they ever say whats going to be in there? looks pretty big, like for a place to eat , shop or something and on the unofficial disney book 2012 they have listed between the tents and barnstormer a casey jr train, any clue on that? or was that scrapped, ive also seen it in a couple of other places too.

The building for Dumbo is going to be the new interactive queue. From what we have heard it will features games the kids can play while waiting for thier turn on the ride. The Casey Jr Train is going to be a water play area and will be right in from of the train station. I am assuming that it will be mostly fabricated off site then just dropped into place that's why we have not seen any work on it yet.

These pics are amazing. These updates by Scott have become my favorite thing to watch for about the FL Expansion!

I'm totally blown away by how fast they're moving on this now!!!

Some questions:
• I was wondering about the holes in the tents as well. Is it possible the big tent won't be used as a gift shop again after all?

My guess is that it's just access for under-the-floor utilities.

• What's so important about the green shed next to the tents that it couldn't have been moved to make room for more Circusland? I imagine it's some kind of maintenance shed, so why couldn't it be moved across the street?

I'm not sure, but it may be some kind of utility connection point for the park. There are a lot of conduits and piping along/under the access road bridge that goes over the railroad tracks, and the on-property power plant is north of the park. So that may be where all the utilities for the park come in and it simply cannot be moved (or at least being extremely cost-prohibitive). Purely guessing, though.

• Is anyone else surprised that they didn't put anything in the area between Belle's Cottage and the wall? The whole area seems to be jammed except for that one place. It's almost like they had something for that area but axed it for whatever reason.

Could this be some kind of interactive "stroll"? Since most people will use the path that goes to the bridge to get to Belle's and BATB, I'd think they'd have to put something in that corner to draw guests (and disperse the crowds). The fact that so many paths are going back to the corner makes me think this may be some kind of small M&G.

Someone else already speculated that it's probably stroller parking. It's also the only part of the expansion that's really built on-top of an existing section of the Utilidors, so they couldn't put much of anything structure-wise in that spot. (I'm surprised they were able to put the trees there)

The green building behind Goofy's is the maintenance building for the roller coaster. If you ever road it, there is a switch just outside the station when the train is exiting toward the hill. That switch allows the trains to go to the shed (green roofed building) for maintenance.

Things certainly are progressing very well! Thanks Scott and Steve as usual! I can't wait to see this in person, I still can't grasp how large it is other than the over head shots on Google Maps. Also can not wait to see all of the trees, and water features. This is sure to be a wonderful looking, and much needed addition to the MK. :sohappy:

I am curious about the blueprint. It shows the old Cinderella M'n'G where the Mine Train will now be. For the old Cinderella plans, a dotted line appears that I assume was a utilidoor extension for Cindy to move unseen between locations. I am curious if there is any such extension still in place for the Mine Train staff or service. I'm assuming not, as we don't have any photos showing such work, though there were a few in question a while back that, there was an extension put in, would place it to the South of the new bridges going in.

No big deal though, just being nosey.

Yeah, that's the shed next to the Barnstormer. He (and I) were referring to the other green maintenance shed just north of where Circusland will be.

Wasn't there another (square) tent right in front of this shed on the art?

I think you're referring to the barnstormer maintenance shed which has always been there. The path is the one that leads to Tomorrowland.

That's too bad. It would've been a nice out of the way location for a bathroom.

From what we've seen, there isn't a bathroom in CL (with the closest ones at BATB). I wonder if the expanded Train Station will now have bathrooms.(?) Seems like a far walk to BATB for little kids and a bathroom there would make sense next to the wet playground.

Great questions for sure. But my favorite is highlighted red. That seems such a natural area to at least set aside for an expansion of the Circus or something else and it seems relocating that shed would be relatively easy. Behind IASW perhaps? Anyway I know a way they could theme the Circus to create a great backstory, theme the train to the land, have it fit seemlessly with the overarching 'storybook theme' and be a fan favorite. Time will tell.

The green building that's being asked about is (or was, last I knew) the Imagineering field office for the FLE. It will probably come down or be repurposed as a break room once everything is finished.

Aren't there bathrooms going back by the second tent? I thought I read that somewhere!?!

There's no way they'd have an area that large and no washrooms nearby (especially an area geared towards children... the kind of humans that wait until the absolute last second to go ).

This building has been there long before the expansion was started (you can see it in Google Earth as far back as 1995). If it is being used as an office now, which would make sense, what was it before that?

Excellent question, and one I have no clue of the answer for.

The main tent is being called Sideshow Souvenirs, with the smaller tent being the meet & Greet tent. Currently, there is no word on who exactly will be occupying the two rooms in the M&G tent, but there will not be a show at this point. The center of the smaller tent is the queue which will feed the two rooms

Excellent question, and one I have no clue of the answer for.

It would most likely have been offices for Toontown attractions and merchandise managers and/or a small break room for Toontown cast members. but since I started working in june (at MK) it has been a WDI office for the project.
