Photographing Cast Members

I took this photo of a cast member on KS. It wasn't random though, it was one of my favorite experiences of all of my trips to WDW. I went with a family who has a boy in a wheelchair and we were in AK during extra magic hours in the evening. The place was pretty deserted and we had to use the handicap accesible truck. Well, we waited for a few minutes since we were the only group on an otherwise empty truck. The CM was asking if we had ever been on KS before and we told him that not only had we been on the ride before, but had already done it that day. When no one else showed up, let's just say that he treated us to a special ride. Great guy, great experience, so I wanted to take that picture to help preserve the memory.
Yay for CMs!!! :sohappy:

I take photos of CM's ALL the time...haha, it's become a habit really. I usually just take shots of CM's that did a really good job in their character or just did something really nice or memorable.

Think about it: in absence of meeting the park president or Bob Iger himself, the Cast Members *are* the human faces of WDW! In that sense, I can see why one might feel that random CM #4 is worth taking a picture of.

My two friends just got back from their honeymoon in disney. They came back with pics of the husband with all the women from the different countries in Epcot. Which of course means now my BF wants pics with them as well.

Ive had pics with my fam with our servers and even with a few bartenders from past Disney trips. I think it might just be a disney thing, since i can't remember ever having our pic taken w a server at olive garden.....

Why would that be odd? You're wearing a costume, it's a tourist spot and you work for it.

Now, travel to China, visit the Great Wall and have Chinese form a line just to take a picture with you... THAT is weird. :king:

I always got pictures taken of me. Especially from the tour groups. Hell, one drunk mom even made out with me at fastpass return. I'm too lazy to find what thread the story is in, but it was pretty funny.

Heading for the great escape.
Dont worry its juts some sad act Billy no mates inventing friends for their face book. Or a looney pre selecting their next target before donning the gimp mask and polishing the old ball hammer.

I always loved when guests took pictures of or with me. At night there would generally be a lot of guests with that request, but not many in the morning.

I get pictures taken of me often enough...but considering I work at Jungle Cruise, I don't find it that odd. The one thing that is a little embarrassing is that, if I notice a camera on me, I'll usually stop my spiel for a moment or two and give the cheesiest pose/smile ever...but sometimes they're filming a video, and it takes me like 5 or 6 seconds to realize

My boyfriend (at the time) and I took a picture with Matt. It wasn't random, he was our KTTK guide.

I've gotten my picture taken all the time at ToT. Then again, the costume and my creepy/sarcastic demeanor helps.

I've even signed a few on-ride photos I was in and autograph books for kids! The first time a kid asked me to sign, I was so excited to do it that I spelled my own name wrong, and then I felt really dumb.

When I visited China a few years ago we went to the Great Wall, which was absolutely phenomenal by the way. We were in a big tourist group, with a guide holding a flag and the whole bit. Yet, as I ventured off to "climb" some of the wall, this very sweet-looking, very old Chinese man came up to me and smiled. He looked at my mother and then at me, took out his camera and made a motion indicating he'd like for my mom to take a picture of him and me. I thought it was odd, but smiled and obliged nonetheless. When my mom turned to give the man his camera back, there was a line of four other Chinese families waiting to get their picture taken with me....:lookaroun While we were on the GREAT WALL OF CHINA! One of the most magnificent things to take a picture on, and they wanted a photo with a young strawberry-blonde American girl.

Something they don't see that often.

I remember working on Casey's Corner and a group of teens came to us and as for a group picture of the whole staff, thank God we were close). Since at that time my costume was different (I couldn't use the Casey's costume) I took the first picture with the girls and then they ask to have just a picture of me with them.

I am in Merchantainment, so i don't usually get this question. Although I am probably in the photos of some guests, if I am working at a certain bank of registers that has a mural behind it....

And put our costumes on that ugly list (although BBB costumes are worse...)

:xmas:
let me guess tinkerbelles treasures or the place for hats and to embroider them

It's a Small World After All...

I have the greatest story of having my photo taken with a guest...

Just before my contract ended at Disney my Mom told me she had started dating this man that she really liked. When I came home and met him he said I looked familiar.

Well, about a year earlier he had been on a trip to WDW and had gotten his picture taken with a CM from each Pavilion and there in his photo album was a picture of him and I!!!

They're married now and we joke about how I met him first

I have taken a few pics of CMs at WDW. One of our faves was our ride in the nose on the monorail. Our driver was so nice when I asked if I could take his pic for our scrapbook. He really smiled and I felt like it made him happy that we apreciated him( I will add a pic later and few more) I think CMs are some of the nicest people that I have ever met and I remember so many experinces with the ones that have went out of their way to spread the magic, even if it is just a smile! They do so much. :)
