News Paradise Pier Becoming Pixar Pier

Artistic ventures have long been scrutinized for being too large of an investment (both financial and time wise) for too little monetary gain, and are constantly drained of funds at random and in large amounts (Hi, Florida arts budget!).

Movies are the chief exception, but the result is that movies have to make egregious amounts of money in order to be considered successful.

This is just further proof that the company doesn’t have faith in the parks as a way to create art, and when it does, it applies movie making logic to them (every addition must be a blockbuster hit, or we switch back to cheap overlays). What’s weird is that Disney usually follows up their blockbuster hit investments with a cheap overlay, even though the pattern clearly shows that the blockbuster hits are better for literally everyone.

I really hope we get a clone of the Peter Pan ride Tokyo is getting. As long as it's not primarily screens, having it be part of a small Neverland section to the east of "it's a small world" with a new Chicken of the Sea would be incredible.
But they just revealed the new Chicken of the Sea on the other side of the park. Don't you think that would get a little confusing?

I hope you guys get the chance to check out the Pixar Promenade area as well as the Lamplight Lounge. I know the rest of Pixar Pier is a let down, but these two areas are really nice upgrades. And I think the coaster will be a much better experience at nighttime. Luckily WOC is down for a few more months.... lol.

I have a reservation for the Lamplight Lounge!

Here’s the Pixar Pal Around: (Also can anyone tell me what the swinging cars are like?)

I know that everything is a pun and play on words, so, I'm kinda confused with "pal-a-round"... is it a play on some word or phrase I'm just not getting? I would have guessed that 'pal-a-round' was a play on 'merry go round' which is a carousel, not a a ferris wheel, which is what this ride is.

Well, I don’t get it that much either. :hilarious:
